The Orange traitor calls us patriot Democrats “communists” and then is openly siding with the communist dictator of North Korea??? Vote all blue as I intend to do!!!

Ballard Graham's avatar

America has a vile, disgusting, sicko running our beloved country! America, we must fix this disaster and accept the damage already done by his and his regime’s madness!

Bob Dixon's avatar

Trump sees himself as a “player” with these dictatorships. Rules are for suckers and all that matters is power and intimidation. They see him for the pathetic wannabe he is, a chicken pretending to be a tough guy. Hopefully Republicans wake up before he destroys even more than he already has.

Linda Lee Williams's avatar

Not likely. At this point, only American voters can change the outcome. The question is, will they--and in enough numbers that the elections cannot be contested.🤞

Trump is a LIAR.

So the reason why he does things is rarely what he SAYS it is.

In this case, the people manipulating him behind the scenes are all neofascists, so they WANT to destroy all democracies in the world, replace them with fascist regimes, and strengthen the existing fascist regimes (starting with Russia and China, and then also their allies (North Korea, Iran, ...).

The goal of today's neofascist GOP is not to get rid of the Iranian dictatorship. It's to make sure that it is led by people who are neofascists AND who side with the GOP.

Republicans today are building the world Putin's ideologue Dugin always dreamed of: a "global order" that is "multipolar", with a handful of big, fascist regimes controlling everything.

Switching alliances from democratic South Korea to fascist North Korea is just another step into that direction.

Roger Reed's avatar

“replace them with fascist regimes”, yes, but ultimately the aim is to replace those with a single crime family.

EUWDTB's avatar

No, not at all. There is no evidence backing up that hypothesis.

This is precisely one of the main differences between fascism and neofascism. Neofascism studied 1930s fascism and learned from the Nazis' mistakes. They realized that it's not necessary for ONE nation to control all others. What is needed instead (as Dugin perfectly explains) is a multipolar world consisting of a handful of big, powerful neofascist empires.

Each empire keeps its population under control by imposing one local langage and a fundamentalist version of its most dominant religion.

Neofascists are perfectly fine with the fact that Erdogan imposes fundamentalist Islam while the US would impose a fundamentalist version of Protestantism.

Neofascism is still 100% "nationalist", but nationalism is now merely "opium for the masses". So each empire can celebrate its own form of nationalism. All that matters is that there are only a few big empires, and that they are all ruled by an "elite" (family or not; doesn't matter) that ideologically strongly believes that neofascism is the best political ideology.

This is truly frightening. And not at all impossible.

It nauseates me to agree with your truthful statement.

Considering how deeply Russia is in bed with both China and North Korea, Japan and South Korea should be collaborating with Ukraine right now like there's no tomorrow. In addition to their expanding drone technology, Ukraine now has experience battling North Korean troops AND is gaining the (very hard-won and bitter) experience with North Korean missiles.

Considering Russia had just completed another road connection with North Korea to simplify supply and troop delivery AND considering Russia's little stunt with one of the disputed islands, Ukraine should be Japan's and South Korea's new best friend right now.

Liz R's avatar

Agree they have much in common but Ukraine has its hands full at the moment. It would be more helpful if the United States lived up to its treaty obligations and robustly supported its allies. Trump seems to think the US is propping up weaker countries, which is not true. A strong alliance is just good sense.

And on the same night that we learn about Trump's turning his back on S. Korea and his kissy-lips toward N. Korea, we learn that N. Korea (as well as China) currently has the ability to launch missiles that can strike the whole west coast.

This Parnas report features a video of NORTHCOM Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Joseph Jarrard explaining how vulnerable we are, how astonishingly unprepared for a full-scale attack from both those western countries and from Russia.

https://aaronparnas.substack.com/p/sunday-update-trump-betrays-south?utm_source=podcast-email&publication_id=1810164&post_id=211466001&utm_campaign=email-play-on-substack&utm_content=watch_now_gif&r=3dd1p&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

We should all know about this.

Eddie Dickey's avatar

I don’t think he cares about the West Coast.

EUWDTB's avatar

It's not about him. It's about the fact that a neofascist GOP believes that world peace will be easier to install if we no longer try to turn fascist regimes into democracies but instead side with them and show them that from now on, we ideologically AGREE with them.

Jude's avatar

Agreed. His first response on learning that China and/or Korea had nuked California would be glee. One blue state bit the dust.

Liz R's avatar

Trump hates California as its governor speaks out against the corruption.

Ellen Snyder's avatar

oh Lord Jude.. we would be in such a mess..! Thank God for Adam and Aaron for all the info we get from them.

Robert D. Goldstein's avatar

It is worse than Trump having his feelings hurt. We have seen that he is a dictator wannabe who idolizes past and present tyrants. He cannot be trusted. Starting with November, we must remove his enablers in Congress and in the judicial system. Short of impeachment or invoking the 25th Amendment (both of which are deserved) we must at a minimum neutralize his power and his ability to trample over the Constitution.

EUWDTB's avatar

It's the opposite. A neo-fascist GOP enables Trump to stay out of prison as long as he agrees to constantly distract us from what they do and stay stuck in TDS.

That's why we urgently need to get rid of ALL Republicans on all levels of government, and that will continue to be the case long after Trump is gone.

Robert D. Goldstein's avatar

Distraction and deception are all part of Trump’s playbook. For all we know, his illegal war of choice may be one big deflection. It’s certainly a possibility that hidden powers within and outside the USA could be pulling his strings.

EUWDTB's avatar

It's not a possibility, it has been PROVEN that the GOP ITSELF has become neofascist.

Who writes Trump's executive orders, you think?

Most of them come from Project 2025, written by the Heritage Foundation, and supported by neofascist tech billionaires such as Thiel, Musk, Andreessen, Sachs etc. Those are the people making the decisions... while Trump distracts us.

And yes, legacy media like to imagine that the Iran war was Trump's idea. In the meantime, it's clear that "turning" a few Iranian leaders (such as Ahmadinejad) by convincing them that the US now agrees with them that fascism is the only solution is 100% coherent with what neofascists have been writing about for years. So this is on the GOP. Trump is merely their clown in chief.

Roger Reed's avatar

Ok, but it does matter who is at the top of the pyramid, and who is doing the throwing-under-the-bus. We know there is a thick pack who would like to take the helm, just to thoroughly mix the metaphors.

Joy B's avatar

What about Russia. They could be dictating trump’s movements. Start a war with Iran and use up all our long range missiles to make the US more vulnerable to a takeover by the Russians or the Chinese. Lie to the people by telling them that Russians are our friends. Get rid of significant military leaders that were the first line of defeating Communism. Between Hegseth and Trump they have neutralized our military. We as a country are extremely vulnerable.

Ellen Snyder's avatar

the Epstein files perhaps!!?

Roger Reed's avatar

We do know: it’s a deflection, or several of them, every single time. Among them is his dim recognition that South Korea is a hugely successful liberal democracy that took 70 years to crawl out of a militaristic dead end. His present back-turning is a back-handed compliment, because SK gets in the way of his final solution of world-domination.

Ballard Graham's avatar

Besides, the convicted felon made a choice to get America into this war with Iran without communicating to our allies, and now expects them to blindly follow his demands, or else! Pathetic!

Dr Giora Hadar's avatar

Well, well, well. A person with a fragile personality was elected president, and his ego is wounded, because several countries dared to refuse his demand to help him in what he perceived as moment of need - his need. So he retaliates by hurting our allies in the best way he knows how - supporting their enemies. It’s a part of a pattern. Russia over Ukraine, China over Taiwan, and Russia over NATO. And now, North Korea over South Korea. How pathetic!

Richard Yoast's avatar

You left off Trump over America

Roger Reed's avatar

It’s worth pointing out that South Korea is vastly more dependent on the oil coming through the Gulf than we are.

Liz R's avatar

I think it’s worse than that. I think the people propping Trump up are exploiting every opportunity for power and money.

Anita Butler's avatar

What can be done? Do you have any suggestions?

Roger Reed's avatar

I heard a crackpot suggestion that we should just proceed in every way to act as if we had a normal American government. I’m not sure how to get the keys to the congressional office when they force the election of a traitor, but, y’know… details.

The flip side of that coin is to resist, every day, in every way, more than we did yesterday. For every atrocity, we say no, loud and clear.

Pyongyang on the Potomac seems to mean more than plastering Dear Leader’s portrait all over Washington DC and building a throne room. He seems to want to be like Kim Jung Un in other ways as well. Meanwhile the sycophants who know better act like a gang of North Korean factotums who dare not tell Dear Leader he is destroying our country.

Linda Oliver's avatar

When he dc’d exercises in 2018 there was no Iran war rationale, just the request of his buddy Kim. Are you SURE he’s the President of AMERICA?

Jude's avatar

He is presiding over this country's total destruction: socially, financially, militarily, culturally, morally -- in every way The destruction of the East Wing is symbolic. We may look pretty much like we did a couple of years ago, but in all the above ways are very nearly rubble. And now he wants the Supreme Court to allow him to replace the rubble with his own fortified bunker -- fortified against the forces of U.S. democracy. That's how he presides over this country.

When I started first grade, there was a big, dumb bully of a second grader. I was little, and I thought if I were his friend he might give me some protection. Instead, he turned his attention on me. Recess was miserable until I figured out how to avoid him. Reminds me of Trump. The foreign policy of the United States today is dictated by the infantile machinations of a dumb, senile bully of a second grader.

Roger Reed's avatar

Not to criticize the decision you had to make, but I feel obligated to point out that your avoidance of the bully did nothing to take him down.

That’s the problem we’re now facing.

Kim Jong Un understands only force — and unlike any other leader, he may actually be willing to burn down his own house if he can take the neighborhood with him. South Korea wants what we want: freedom and prosperity. Yet Trump, seduced by a dictator's love letters, seems ready to gamble the entire peninsula away to Kim and China. Kim is crazy by design. Trump is crazy for free. Can we survive both?

We have a toddler who is wielding a bat in a china shop. He destroys everything he can when he doesn’t get his way. He is the most ignorant and worst president in the history of the US.
