My husband and I can't wait to vote for Talarico...today, or tomorrow at the latest!

Cindy Prewitt's avatar

Wonderful! Can't wait to see soon-to-be Senator Talarico turning this state around. It's time.

Linda Lee Williams's avatar

Right now, Talarico has only a 2-pt lead over a Republican criminal, when it should be a 20-pt lead. I'm hoping against all hope that he wins by at least 5-6% points, or the election will be tied up in the courts for months.

I went this morning and the line was wrapped around the building, to the sidewalk and out to the street. It's a beautiful sight! I'll go try again later today

Joan Fregapane's avatar

Just early voted this morning. We had a line as well! Go, James!

It's about time Republicans are held accountable for their actions and rheteroic!

Skepticat's avatar

Jon Ossoff is amazing. His calm, direct, and intelligent approach is so strong and so needed.

Jude's avatar

Right! And he does an especially good job of making the links between Trump's personal profits from the presidency and his destruction of programs that help people.

Sabrina DiMichele's avatar

Ossoff, El-Sayed, and Talarico are telling it like it is but in a no-nonsense, non-combative way that resonates even with the many Republicans who have resisted the orange cult mentality.

Skepticat's avatar

You are so right! I've been very impressed by and donating to all three—they could really make a positive difference for this benighted country.

Linda Lee Williams's avatar

I wish I knew some Republicans like that! Even the religious ones have not changed their minds. These are otherwise kind, caring people in many ways--but they are "Party over country" Republicans and would never vote for a Democrat.🙁

Susheila Khera's avatar

Crisp, no-nonsense and laser focused.

Sue Dalling's avatar

How we do stop the slaughter of Ukraine. I can’t take this. The republicans are okey with China , Russia . How do we stop this.

Jude's avatar

If the Dems can win both the Senate and the House, we'll have some muscle to stop it. If we get only the House, it's gonna be a heavy lift.

Sue Dalling's avatar

The republicans are traitors. They are nothing, they are leachers.

Tracy Kohlbeck's avatar

Voted the day after getting my ballot and put it in a drop box the day after. November 3 can't get here soon enough!

Same here 🩵🩵

Lauren Cohen's avatar

I did too. Took it to my local voting secretary's office and watched the attendant stamp and insert it into the box.

What the republicans have done to our country should cast a long shadow that should take years and decades to fade. How can they redeem themselves from this rampant corruption? They really can’t. Meanwhile they sit by silently and let it not only continue but get worse as Trump openly supports Putin and works against Ukraine anyway he can. This is unforgivable!!!

Kbmc's avatar

It's also...what the f..k were they thinking and expecting?!?!?! Their behavior is an insult to the American people who they, what, think we're all too stupid or blind to see??

Nancy's avatar

They are counting on us being too stupid or blind to see because that's been their experience. It's why we are where we are now, unfortunately!

Diane's avatar

I totally agree. See my post of 11:30 am Oct 19

Already voted in a turning-blue Kansas :)

The GOP in the House and Senate sold its soul to the devil 10 years ago. People like Hawley, Cruz, JD, Rubio, and others can't chameleon themselves out of the mess they co-create with Trump. Hopefully, a new generation of sane Republicans will emerge

Sally S's avatar

Republicans only have themselves to blame!

A Democratic House looks likely next month, and the Senate is within reach. So the question is whether dog-whistle politics will work again. Will we chase emotional fights that never touch our lives, or vote our own interests? After 2024, I was deeply saddened. After this election, I hope to be joyful.

Kbmc's avatar

I don't know that I'll feel joyful, as there is much more damage that will be done and limited power even with Dems in both houses over the next 2 years, but I will certainly feel more hopeful. 🙏🏻

Clear, Strong, and Direct. Adam, good for you.

Early voting just opened here in Connecticut. I can’t wait to go tomorrow! Vote blue everybody!

Kbmc's avatar

Here in New York early voting starts Saturday, October 24, and I'll be there!!

Cindy Prewitt's avatar

I was at my polling place bright and early this morning, as soon as I could get there. I wanted to put an exclamation point on my Total Blue Vote today here in Texas. Talarico for the win!

Sue Ellen Scheppke's avatar

I'm with you, all for Texas going Blue, Cindy!

Voted in rural Arizona the day after I received my mail in ballot last Friday. Husband did too. We took our ballots to the ballot box Saturday afternoon deposited them. Three other cars were drawing up with the same intention. By last Monday, Columbus/Indigenous People’s Day, the box was so full that they had to empty it first thing in the morning. This is a red city, red County where most people usually vote on Election Day but perhaps, perhaps, things are shifting. At least a little. If we can make a dent in the GOP vote count here that will help our District candidate, Jo Mendoza as she will probably do very well in the other, blue areas.

I am hoping for a blue tsunami. As far as I know my close family have already been to the polls in their States and they are voting Democratic even when at one time or another they have voted Republican.

Terry Westby's avatar

Could you please write more about the what, how of what needs to be done when the democrat take over congress. And the who of the candidates, their staff and advisors that are up to the task of setting things right and enacting the reforms we need to neuter this administration and it's enablers

Laurie Leigh's avatar

Agree. It’s extremely important that we don’t mirror the retribution tour but aggressively make new changes while undoing the damage done. No one is angrier than me but as Michelle said, when they go low, we go high! A roadmap is needed.

Kate White's avatar

I totally agree with you. There is so much that needs to be done it’s hard to know where to start!!!

Cara Chow's avatar

Yes! In fact, I asked this exact question for the last AMA. I really hope Adam addresses this because it is the most important question. Winning the House and Senate is only the first step. The Dems need to strategize a plan to deliver to voters and to communicate effectively so they don’t lose faith and backslide in 2028. Dems need to make a list of what they can and cannot achieve over the next two years, given a hostile WH and the Iran War. Then be relentless working on the first list. Communicate with constituents what steps they are taking now and how voting against MAGA in 2028 will help them achieve the second list starting 2029. Any steps taken to counter corruption and take back democracy need to be connected back to affordability so voters understand why they should care. In 2024, voters that didn’t like Trump as a person voted for him anyway because they were laser focused on affordability and the economy. They clearly did not make the connection on how corruption and anti-democracy ultimately harm bread and butter issues. Until the war ends, we will continue to have affordability problems, and this war will not likely end before Trump is out. Therefore, Dems in Congress need to score smaller and achievable affordability gains in 2027 to show they are delivering and then promise the big change if voters vote the right away in 2028.

Thank you Adam......you are a man of integrity and so appreciate your newsletters. Other than early in my teens and 20s I was a Republican because my parents were. As a physician my father left that party sooner than my mother. I became a Democrat before turning 30.....and have been ever since. But, I was very appreciative of you on the January 6th Committee. Thank you for keeping us informed!

What a nice acknowledgment of Adam and all he does. 😊🌟
