Adam, you act surprised. This is Trump. It is always about him. It’s always about him. One of his serfs died and it really is only about how it affects him. Nothing’s changed. You know the definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Just a reminder that we cannot change the man he is what he is and I cannot wait for the day when he is no longer in the news or in my feed or part of the political landscape. Keep up the good work.
Adam has written this post as a matter of record. As a former member of the Congress, he is more than qualified to express our shame and disgust. Trump was elected by the MAGA cult and likely unscrupulous aid from outside our country. People who would gain financially. Adam is not surprised. He’s pointing out that our leader is mentally ill.
I was so angry after the debate in 2024 when all the news organizations came out saying Biden was too incoherent to run. Trump was *equally* incoherent. Where were the calls for him to step down? Where are they now? Compare Trump of today to trump of 10 years ago even, more so trump of 15 years ago, and the loss of mental acuity is crystal clear. Why is this not front page news every damn day? Why aren't other world leaders pointing it out? Why are his incoherent rambles on social media treated as policy statements? Where are the grownups???
Sorry to hear you still question your decision around participating in the January 6th committee. I think I speak for your other followers in saying that is one of the primary reasons that I follow you. Participating showed true courage, and it's that courage that we seek in our next leaders. It's that courage that I think is essential in our next president if we are to right this ship. We need someone who can be independent in the biggest moments when one must stand up to big business, big military, big health, etc. and do what is right for the vast majority of people rather than the most wealthy and powerful.
ya it's not REALLY questioning it, i have no doubts or regrets whatsoever. But you know, things do pop up when its hard. Its why we have to make decisions daily to fight
Good to hear you're not really questioning your decision. I hope when things are hard you can look at your decision around the commission as inspiration and a source of strength. It's proof to yourself that you can stand tall in your toughest moments. What you did is inspiring to me. I get the discomfort, but as you said about your votes against your party, I look back at the moments when I spoke out against the crowd in keeping with my values as my best moments.
He is a malignant narcissistic psychopath with delusions of grandeur. I say this without rancor, as more of an obvious diagnosis. He was born this way, as some people are, unfortunately. He only made it through this life because he was born into money. This is the only way he will ever behave.
This is how he always HAS behaved, I guarantee you..and he got by, because he had money, he had the name that he inherited.
Its just that the appropriate niceties are now impossible for him to deliver, as the aging process has reduced his mental acuity.
He doesn't sleep, as those who are "slipping" often find that sleep eludes them. He obsesses, he's paranoid, he cannot forgive because his personality disorders don't allow for that.
But, some find him charming. He most likely was, in his younger days.
And, MAGA will do ANYTHING to please the mad king. This is not a new story. History is filled with stories like this.
But now, this could end up being our story too.
Who will stand up and stop Donald Trump before he becomes unstoppable?
Thank you, Adam. I haven't agreed with much Graham had to say in recent years, but he deserved better from DJT. He will never change and we ALL need to work hard to see that he and his Administration is evicted! It's going to take a lot of hard work and time to rebuild our country even better. Thanks for fighting so hard for the country we love.
Collaborators sell their soul for many reasons but none of them really work out, and in the end the collaborator is done in by the Dear Leader for whom he has sold his soul.
The Trump administration, specifically his cabinet and closest advisors, is very much like a Tudor or Bourbon court. Good call, Adam. Those around Trump just fawn over him, agreeing with everything their ruler says and does, eagerly anticipating their pat on the head or some other small treat. It is both un-american and pathetic.
Last night I listened to James Taylor's song "Line them up" and it made wish we were at that point where all of tRUMP's brain dead cabinet, chief of staff, and deputy chief of staff are ready to feel the hammer of true justice come down hard on them.
Care for his younger sister is all that remains positive in the pathetic life of Lindsay Graham. He took more away from the people of this country through his votes. He is not to be remembered with any good words. Glad he is gone.
A very good analysis of the tragedy that was Lindsay Graham. Graham is not the first to sell his soul. Goethe's Faust was there before him, and virtually the entire Republican Congress has made similar deals. Maybe Trump preceded the current crop when he took on Roy Cohn, lawyer to several Mafia dons, as his mentor. What should be clear to everyone, and should have been clear to Lindsay Graham, is that the MAGA crowd not only rejects what it really means to be an American, or for that matter a Christian--at least as Jesus saw it--but it is also heading down a rabbit hole that the rest of the world spent centuries trying to escape. Trump is not Adloph Hitler, but both men drank at the same well.
What I find most sad, Adam, is the number of words you burned to describe what a POS the Orange Blob is. That ain't news to anyone with an IQ higher than room temp measured on the centigrade scale.

I would HAPPILY deliver tRump’s eulogy
:)
Sooner rather than later
Ideas?
Put him next to his first wife and under a load of shit.
Forget about “Trump derangement syndrome” - what is more accurate is “Deranged Trump Syndrome”.
absolutely
Exactly

There are no grown-ups in the GOP as it is today. They are power hungry lemmings. Who would follow Trump off a cliff.
IMHO
Trump debated Kamala Harris in 2024
Trump debated both

extremely well stated, and i couldn't agree more. unfortunately, i think it will take a very long time to undo all the damage.

I would love to know.
Please do all you can to get Dems elected in November. If we don't succeed at that, we may never see anyone stand up to Trump thereafter.

One thing about tRump:
If his mouth is open,
there are mostly lies.
Julie, I would change this to all lies. He doesn’t know how to tell the truth and he never has.
Collaborators sell their soul for many reasons but none of them really work out, and in the end the collaborator is done in by the Dear Leader for whom he has sold his soul.

He supported and pushed genocide on the Palestinians case close

It will be interesting to see how tRump and Republican Party use her now that she will carry out his term
No-brainer, really. She'll just vote as per Trump's directions every time.
"Plan as if you have forever. Live as if today is all you have."
And MAGA listens in awe to this POS.

he had a clear message, he didn't burn any words. He's not a politician anymore and I feel that he spoke with his heart (and brain)
ellen, i agree wholeheartedly with you.
I hope he sends you a thank you note for defending him so eloquently.
