Do you think maybe the real GOP the diehard maga republicans are in the Epstein files which is why they’re allowing Trump to do whatever he wants?

Pam Birkenfeld's avatar

It’s the oligarchs who are controlling, they have seen files because they are in them. The poor slobs that believe in M AGA principles, and by that I am including educated ones as well, they don’t care , they just like the slogans and the BS white supremacy stuff.

Olivia Koppell's avatar

Duh! But it’s not the only reason they allow him to have control of the levers of power. His enablers share his prejudices, lack of empathy and integrity, greed, corruption and he enriches them with money and power.

I actually think they’re getting BIG money (that we can’t even imagine) to stay quiet. I think that’s why some of them squawk like they will go against maga on some issue and then suddenly they vote the other way. That’s a payment in some way.

Ukraine will be one of the most powerful and influential countries in the world after this war ends. Kyiv is destined to be the new Jerusalem. The US would do well to show a little humility and learn what we can from them.

Slava Ukraini, and you're so right about learning from them AND about Dems supporting them. Their drone capabilities are superb.

I'm an expat most of the year, and I've never been proud to be a American, although I used to be grateful. I no longer am either. At my age (I'm only a bit younger than Chump), I doubt I shall ever be either again.

My husband and I lived back and forth from USA to Rome for ten years. Our fellow workers were always respectful of our American culture and patriotism. Now they are very disgusted with the USA and so are we .

And this is a very religious humanitarian group of loving people completely disenchanted. Multinational and very good 😢

My friends in this country and I tend to vent together. They're simpatico and know I'm not happy with it. Nevertheless, it's embarassing.

This was a fabulous conversation; thank you so much.

In a Tarzan-like pose president Trump demonstrates a wild howling hollow boast that short of beating his chest while yelling: 'I call the shots!' in pursuing his and his Israeli pimp Bibi Netenyahu's 'war of choice' with Iran.

Iran and Israel trade strikes as Trump calls on them to stop as

Teheran launched wave-after wave of missiles at Israel, and Israel struck Irani military targets and a petrochemical complex, as an uneasy two-month truce broke down. President Trump called for the two sides to 'immediately stop' the attacks.

Netanyahu defied Trump and struck back at Iran--but can he take on Tehran without the US? By defying Trump, Israel has done more than challenge Iran's new equation; it has also undermined Trump's credibility.

Israel has now responded militarily to Iran, defying Trump’s publicly expressed wishes. Israeli commentators have been explicit that Israel could not allow Iran to establish a new regional equation—one in which Tehran successfully extended deterrence over Lebanon.

But by defying Trump, Israel has done more than challenge Iran’s new equation; it has also undermined Trump’s credibility.

The ball is now back in both Tehran’s and Trump’s court.

If Israel’s defiance carries no consequences, it will reinforce the view in Iran that Trump either cannot or will not restrain Israel. From Tehran’s perspective, a deal with Washington has little value if the US is unable—or unwilling—to curb Israeli actions. An unconstrained Israel would only increase the likelihood of renewed conflict and continued efforts to draw the United States back into war.

Truth be told, Trump is a cork floating in a sea of war, a 'helpless giant' unable to control events.

Just listened to the Kinzinger/O’Brien talk 6/7. I just want to comment that when I was in Germany 1967-68 for 8 months, University of Heidelberg Students were very impressively anti-American based on the our Vietnam War. Many of us decided not to be anywhere near U of Heidelberg food courts due to the anti American feeling there. Just a comment about anti Americanism and when it previously raised its ugly head in Europe.

I don't know that Trump loves Putin. I think he does admire him, but I think Putin has something really big on Trump and he is deathly afraid.

Thank you for this conversation Adam and Mr. OBrien. I am very sad about African Americans losing the rights to vote. Adam you did a great service serving on the January 6 th committee. You did a documentary on the last Republican. This is a hard time for America. I still can’t understand why, Trump was reelected. The documentary about Teddy Roosevelt was very good watch the others especially about Lincoln. We have to be patient and wait for two more years. That is hard for me also.

What will the country look like when he's gone? He cannot even concieve of that concept.

Adam:

I was an aircraft mechanic (67G) when I was in the army 44 years ago. I worked on U 21s.

As you probably know, the sheet metal is secured with number two screws. I just did a random Google search for number two screws otherwise known as “sheet metal screws“.

This ad had them for $2.34 for 50. Granted this is 42 years later, but as my memory serves me, the cost of one sheet metal screw was far more than that. For just ONE screw!

I learned right then and there that many of these government contracts are shamelessly ripping off our government.

I believe he wants drones and the bunker under a ballroom so he does not have to leave in 2028. He intends to try and stay regardless of election results

Emkaykay's avatar

He wants drones because his sons own the company to make them and sell them to the government.

we should all watch Ken Burns documentaries and the Netflex documentaries on our best Presidents. They were not perfect but they also followed their conscience's. that's why 4 of them are in Mount Rushmore. They cared about all people. They understood democracy.

Thank you for this interview. Trump is the exact opposite of those Presidents.
