Like most associated with our president, Paxton is wholly and uniquely unqualified. He is not worthy of a seat in the U.S. Senate. Trump’s narcissism led him to choose a loyalist over John Cornyn. My hope is that Democrats don’t squander this opportunity.
Trump is a loathsome stain on humanity but many find him to be charismatic. And he did cosplay as a successful businessman on a popular tv show. It pains me to think he was elected president. TWICE!
For the life of me I cannot find any general appeal about Paxton.
True; but remember that EVERY Republican chose to violate our Constitution JUST to vote for their favorite 34x convicted fraudster and sexual assaulter after his failed coup in violation of our 14th Amendment (yes, he's working to violate TWO different sections of the same Amendment: he's an overachiever, but only when it comes to crime.) If they had anything approximating American values, they probably wouldn't be Republicans any longer, right? I know if *I* belonged to a cult that knowingly and deliberately violated our Constitution JUST to overthrow our democracy and install an Emperor, *I* would quit immediately...but I'm an AMERICAN, not a Republican.
Texas is hard for me to understand. There appears to be rampant corruption and poor performance by officials (the power grid failures, catastrophic floods continue in the Hill
Country, destructive trade policies). I know they are closing polling stations. Are they blind?
Republicans Texans love guns and hate abortion. They could care less about the character of political candidates as long as they promise to be as stupidly loose with gun restrictions, and as misogynistic and cruel as they promise to be to women. Yes, even right-wing parents whose children are gunned down and females in Texas are like this.
Sad to say, but Amy Coney Barrett lied to Congress JUST to get the job in Roberts' Supremely Corrupt Court so she could cast the deciding vote to remove women's bodily autonomy and ensure they had no safe medical abortions guaranteed if a doctor prescribed...and she's technically a woman, I think. There are evil people out there who will vote against their own (and America's) best interests if it means their "team" wins.
The good news is that Americans outnumber Republicans 2:1, so if we VOTE, they can remain --like the American Nazi Party-- to be a fringe loony group with little effect on our politics or national trajectory.
I am so embarrassed that Paxton is in office in Texas. As a person who was raised to be a proud Texan, it has been appalling and sad to watch our state elect morally bankrupt leaders. If Paxton wins, I have vowed to move.
Paxton typifies the moral bankruptcy and gross hypocrisy we’ve come to expect from republican candidates for political office. It would be a mistake to underrate him however. Remember Texans voted for Trump and he was a convicted felon.
That will be a big test for just how much of a sure thing that big red R behind Paxton’s name is. Republicans might vote for Trump even we’re he to ravish Ivanka on the White House lawn, but Paxton doesn’t have that kind of charisma. The words of Trump’s endorsement aren’t exactly glowing either.
It seems the actual reason is that there simply are NO speeches from anyone at this profoundly solemn event. Can you imagine what a travesty it would be to have tRump rambling on about himself as usual?
Marty - It’s my understanding that he is refusing to go because they won’t allow political speeches at the memorial. I am glad that they are sticking to their values - as they rightfully should. Just shows the depravity of the person occupying the Oval Office…he’s pouting because he can’t make it all about himself.

My hope is that REPUBLICANS don't squander theirs .... to get a real SENATOR.. they have had some fine ones.
@RepublicanAccountability
@RpsAgainstTrump
It’s astounding to me that a candidate so obviously corrupt as Paxton is a major party nominee for US senate and has a chance to win.
More astounding than our corrupt president, Donald Trump, who was elected a second time? It all just goes hand in hand for the Republican Party...
Trump is a loathsome stain on humanity but many find him to be charismatic. And he did cosplay as a successful businessman on a popular tv show. It pains me to think he was elected president. TWICE!
For the life of me I cannot find any general appeal about Paxton.
I have absolutely no appeal for anyone who ever thought trump was even suitable candidate for ANY elected office throughout the United States.
OOO! Touche. Got that Adam?
Paxton fits right in with the liars, cheats and hypocrites. It does not astound me one bit!

Why not? We have a convicted felon in the White House, or what’s left of the White House.
Sorry Luckless, as you suspect I’m a little angry.
Texas, hon.
Off to donate to James again - I am so excited to early vote for him!!
I gave James another donation today!🎉
Yay, Sue Ellen!!
Go, Emma!!
I keep saying...as an Austin resident, I can't wait to vote for Talarico!💙🩵💙
Texas is hard for me to understand. There appears to be rampant corruption and poor performance by officials (the power grid failures, catastrophic floods continue in the Hill

Republicans who are desperate to hold onto power have to cheat to win. You know this.
Republicans Texans love guns and hate abortion. I live in Texas. I'm making another donation to Talarico's campaign. Paxton is unfit for office.
It seems like a requirement for the Repugnican party to run is that you need to be repugnant and corrupt!
Every time I think the Republicans couldn't get more disgusting, BINGO, another troll shows up.
Paxton typifies the moral bankruptcy and gross hypocrisy we’ve come to expect from republican candidates for political office. It would be a mistake to underrate him however. Remember Texans voted for Trump and he was a convicted felon.
John - This is what worries me. So many people seem to vote against their best interests all because of a letter behind the name.
Linda - “ Trump even we’re he to ravish Ivanka on the White House lawn” - just threw up in my mouth ;)
Sorry.
🤞🤞 Thanks, Adam.....thank the gods that November is coming soon!💙💙💙💙
I’m thinking of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. “The storms of November came early”. Hopefully it portends disaster for the Republicans.
...from your lips, Pam!!
🙏
Texans VOTE VOTE VOTE for the good guy. Get corruption out of Texas politics!
Paxton fits right in with the liars, cheats and hypocrites.
Do you suppose the fact that djt didn’t get to speak at the 9/11 memorial has anything to do with this mess he is having in Dallas?
It seems the actual reason is that there simply are NO speeches from anyone at this profoundly solemn event. Can you imagine what a travesty it would be to have tRump rambling on about himself as usual?
That’s why they said, “No effin’ way.”
And are paying $25k or more to do it.

I did hear that Musk either has sent, or is about to send, money to Paxton...
Yeah, I read he’s spending millions. Again. So disgusted by big money in our politics.
No surprise there.
