I’m not even going to church today Adam you out did any sermon we will ever hear! Amen Thank You for ALL you do!We have your back out here. I kept being nice to my Big time maga Dad, he’s now voting Democrat! There Is Hope IF we stay kind and persistent! God protect you sir and all you love!
Nancy - Same with my sweet little nephew! He currently spends his time (because he wants to and not because his dad - his mom died due to Covid - uses it as a babysitter) watching all the Harry Potter films and can recite just about every line. He’s a big fan of Hagrid. I’m sure it will be something new soon but we enjoy watching him with so much joy when he is interacting and immersed into something that he loves. There are parts of the movie that we also know so well now that we can do it with him and that makes him smile even more. Kids (and some adults) are written off by both adults and children if they are different but every now and again it’s nice to see that that’s not always the case.
I used Merlin one early morning this week and it helped me identify 18 different bird calls. It is a tool that helps people get engaged in birds who inhabit the natural world and nurture our sense of wonder.
Thank you. Bird watching is in vogue, so that may have helped this talented youth. Bravo to his schoolmates. The bird app is the Merlin available from Cornell. It is fantastic for migrating warblers
Adam Kinzinger you are a kind man. Thank you for this Sunday morning smile and reminder of the goodness in the world, which is easy to forget these days. I'm not a Republican and it's hard to find any Republicans to admire these days, but I admire you and have for a long time. Thank you for keeping us humane and hopeful during the horrific chaos we're going through. I'm sharing this post with everyone I know because it's important for us to remember the goodness of the human heart. Have a great Sunday, Adam.
This young kid is astonishing and helps uplift everyone who's "a little different". But you're right - even more uplifting is the response of all the kids in the room. C'mon folks - there's hope. Thank you Adam!
Thank you Adam! My husband and I read all of your posts and we love Sundays! We just loved this one. This young kid is amazing! Agree that the reaction by the other kids was unexpected and awesome. I have 6 stepchildren and raised them from young ages. Kids can be so tough on each other especially to other kids who have challenges. The video made my morning.
You made my day with this joyous show of the amazing talent that this young man has. As a former middle school sped teacher I had many youngsters just like him that would always bring me such happiness every day. This video is infectious, gracious and so lovingly innocent. We need more of this in today’s very troubling world. Thank you.
Thanks for these. It's reminder of how much beauty there is in the world to share and enjoy. Just think if all the energy and effort going into greed, hate and war were redirected towards caring for each other - how much better the world would be.
That kid is so right on and accurate!!! He's amazing 👏 I was at one time a birder and have heard all those birds' calls. They are precisely on target. What a talented young guy.
As the mom of a son with autism, of course this video completely got to me. But what really got to me was what you said, just watching these 12-year-olds deciding to be good to somebody. Somebody who is different. Thank you for sharing, Adam. I just reposted.

@ Cindy Andrews Thank you for the message of hope. I'm so glad for you (and all of us) that your Dad was able to hear you and listen.
Thank You! Yes it has been a good change. Big Love to you and your family!
Awe thanks!
Wow! Thanks, Adam. I really needed that!
I have seen this before and was completely blown away. My nephew has Asperger's and his memory is unbelievable💙 We are all here on earth for a reason.

I use that website for some of the birds that migrate through our south TX backyard.
I use it in Austin tx, watching and listening to birds at my feeder. This was amazing. I see a scientist in his future.

Thank you , Unbelievable talent young man. !
Excellent. It's good to see younger people with an interest in birds.
