Andrea - I just read in the AP that a drone struck a train that was known as a traveling route for delegates that were in the area. However, the train holding the delegates had left earlier so the drone didn’t get their target and instead hit (I believe) an empty train. Hopefully Adam will let us know that he is okay soon enough. I don’t know if he was part of the delegation that was targeted or not but it mentioned Boris Johnson and others.

Yes, everyone should be checking their voter registration now. Right before they go to vote (if they are doing it in person) double check your voting location since they seem to be shutting down locations (or sneakily changing them). Plus, stay away from the site VOTE SAFE because it is a scam. Run by musk lackeys and designed to steal your information unknowingly to the users. Vote.org seems to still be the main source for most people but if anyone has a better suggestion then I’m all ears.
Also, vote early and if your state is all mail-in-voting, then use the drop box only :-) Vote on the day you get your ballot and on the early voting date. The goal is to vote early in mass numbers to make a statement and to ensure your vote is counted.

I didn’t know that we were dependent on Russia for our oil and I thought that we were sanctioning countries who bought their oil (that was some sarcasm but not aimed at you). I've been re-watching Foyle's War. Its depiction of what Londoners endured during the Blitz provides a modern corollary with the residents of Kiev. These Russian missiles are not aimed at military targets. They are aimed at civilians and the soul of a country, hoping to break their will. Hitler did not succeed. Putin is not succeeding either. Bless the Ukrainians who bravely continue to stand.

I haven’t forgotten Ukraine. I remember the night it started and I was listening the whole night I was at work. I remember having tears in my eyes the night Zelenskyy addressed congress and we had a compassionate President Biden and they exchanged flags and the whole congress gave Zelenskyy a standing ovation!!!
That’s the America I remember and was proud of! That’s how I cling on to the glimpse of hope of what our country can be!
There’s a lesson learned from the people of Ukraine! They are the most resilient, courageous and strongest people I know!
It saddens me that because of our regime, Ukraine has not gotten the help they need and deserve! I can see this war has taken a toll on Zelenskyy, you can see it has aged him and I have felt so terrible for him and all of the unnecessary hurdles our regime has made him jump! Peggy - Hi! If you haven’t already found the Substack written by Viktor Kravchuk I highly recommend him. He gives both the reality of living in Ukraine through these atrocities but he also writes about hope, strength and resilience. He sometimes includes beautiful pictures of Ukraine. His wife and son have to live away from him because of this war but she occasionally adds in some beautiful drawings. They have both done some amazing books together as well. It’s been a little while since I have received an email from him (I don’t do the Substack app but I do get the email form instead) in a few weeks (sometimes he doesn’t get internet access) so I hope that he is okay but he pops up when he can.
