With all his travel and historical knowledge, it is a worth piece to read, other than scaring the sh*t out of me. But we are seeing this in real time.
I live in New Orleans, and although we have a decent blue city, the rest of the state is just the poster child of MAGA stupidity. Cleo's race isn't even on my ballot, but I guess our idiot governor will cancel everybody's vote. Who knowss ? I'm exhausted and it's not the humidity; it's the stupidity.

Is there any chance for an independent candidate these days? I have been told NO so many times that I have stopped asking. But I do believe someone like Mr Kinzinger would have enough votes to shake the status quo.
Perhaps a good D candidate without DNC endorsement in a joint to ticket with a respectable I candidate? I know it sounds out there, but I am tired of voting D while holding my nose, and I am sure there are many walking wounded Rs. That’s my dream. Far out, I know.

sadly, all the lying about gas prices does not surprise me. sadly, the possibility/probability of ground troops in iran does not surprise me. sadly, the prez' idea to reduce u.s. troops in germany after speaking with putin does not surprise me. sadly, the u.s. weapons depletion does not surprise me. sadly, the ever growing national debt does not surprise me because that's what the prez did during his first administration. sadly, we are in big trouble as a nation, and the prez is ensuring the entire free world sinks along with the u.s. what happens next? i probably won't be surprised.
