I'm so thankful for many things, but I am a day late seeing this, and I'm really glad I did. I'm a bit down today about non-political things mostly and I appreciate how real you are. Not pretending everything is beauty and roses, just looking back at what we've come through and who/what got us all through it. I thought about that too and felt validated again that courage and faith is not always happy times, sometimes it's just looking at yourself in the mirror and knowing it's that small circle of friends, along with God's words that constantly surround me bidden or not, that enable me to keep my promises, cling to hope and stay the course. Adam, I'm so grateful for you and the entire community of independent reporters (journalists and others) that I have come to know these last few months. Although I have not given up reading my local paper, which I still turn to for local news, I get 99% of my news from you and the members of the Bulwark and Midas Touch network, and related letters and podcasts. Reading posts and listening to podcasts has become such an integral part of my life that the first thing I do every day, and also the last, is to check out what's going on with my new community. I can't NOT check in - it's a necessary thing to do. I hope you and Sofia, Christian and your mom have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will be spending it with my brother and sister-in-law and members of their family in Sugar Land, and like you, trying not to eat too much!

Also, for my husband and family (who, thankfully, agree with me politically ), for being retired having had a career as an RN that opened up the larger world to me and gave me an appreciation for experiencing other points of view.

I am grateful to be alive to see the sun peaking through the clouds of November here in Northern Vermont….& all the ordinary miracles of life: a roof over my head, good food to cook & share, my health in my late 70s, my relative wisdom gained through wide variety of experiences…And this one is difficult to articulate: I am grateful to DJT & his criminal regime for showing us the flaws in our system with his lies, cruelty, corruption, utter selfishness, etc etc. since this gives us the opportunity to make very necessary corrections, to build better guardrails, to face & acknowledge our shortcomings & mistakes & make what amends are possible…without which we can not move forward with this fantastic idea of government of, by & for the people with liberty & justice for all …(even for maga???!?)
And most grateful for you, Adam, & all those like you who are speaking the truth & keeping hope alive. Blessings to all……
