That's the thing. Europe--specifically Denmark--has always acknowledged the strategic importance of Greenland. President Truman offered to buy it for, I think, ten million dollars in gold. Denmark refused but basically gave the U.S. carte blanche to build bases and do whatever was necessary to protect the West. So we still have as much access to Greenland as we need without owning it. None of Trump's hostility is remotely necessary.
This past week the Chairman of the Fed showed us all how it is done. It is about time someone lets Trump know that the American people have been bamboozled, that they are waking up and they are getting mad AT HIM, and that if all the fat, cowardly and lazy representatives who get better health insurance than anyone else paid for by the people fail them, they will also be mad at their representatives.
