With all the surprising and disappointing limited resistance from the Democrats and caving in from some top law firms, colleges and universities, it's probably time to go full throttle with resistance!!!
I email mine every other day (all three Rs) on a distinct issue (so many these days) and they hilariously write back with boilerplate form letters claiming to "appreciate your concern" and to be "working for my constituents" and all sorts of other BS. ha.
I've heard phone calls are better--I've gotten exactly the kind of "reply" you're talking about--but it's hard to know if they pay attention to those, either.

Yes, there are plenty of things I’d like to say to him, but even in good administrations, POTUS sees only a very few of the things that are mailed to him. Not sure who decides what gets through when we have a real president, but I doubt his current handlers let him see anything negative, since that’s the most important part of each job description of the people who work for him. You agree with his version of the truth, even when he changes it while you are in the middle of defending it. (In case you missed it, he did that exact thing while one of his guys was testifying before Congress, defending something the felon had done. Pretty sure he was giving a defense for the insane “I will never back down on these!” tariffs.)

You just put your zip code in and it gives you a list of your reps in congress and senate. Then if you choose, there’s a tab to see issues with actual scripts of what to say if you want to support one issue or another and need help with what to say. Once you select an issue you can opt to call a rep and it will directly connect to their office.

my husband is disabled. We were at the Royal Oak Michigan April 5th protests. Despite the weather my husband and myself and thousands of others joined the protest. All ages were there. Speaking with some of the other people our age, they said they just had to be here. Most never went to a protest, There is a movement. And " the Greater Good" is not going anywhere. You and other leaders are keeping us strong. Together we will get thru this. My heart is broken for the immigrants that have been deported. Never at my age would I have dreamed I would witness America hunt humans, chain them like animals , then send them to foreign prisons with no Due Process. How could this happen here. It boggles my mind.
We are the same age, and I sometimes wonder if I died along with my husband on April 19th, 2002...and now I'm in Purgatory, paying for my sins of youthful ignorance, selfishness, and sloth(Depression and PTSD, chronic pain and fatigue are my excuses). I watched tRump's face as Obama eviscerated him at the Correspondents' Dinner - and I knew that moment was a turning point for trump. He would never rest until he had gotten even. I have a friend who lives in Hungary. We met on Instagram in 2016 and in person last year. She would always make comments about Hungary and I’d ask questions about the Hungarian government. I never fully understood what she would attempt try and explain to me, until now. And we are now seeing this in action here. Yet so many don’t see it, or rather choose not to.
She hasn’t spoken about the protest, I had heard about the anti LGBTQ laws passed back in 2021 but now it’s gone further. She and her husband are professional, travel Europe quite a bit. I don’t get the feeling protesting or government resistance is something they partake in, even if they are against the regime. It’s hard for me to ask pointed questions because I’m just now recognizing how we are falling into the same trap. I think my questions of her government were naive in the past. If that makes sense?
