Adam, for those of us who have seen the orange man-baby for who he really is over the last 10+ years, these childish, idiotic temper tantrums are not a surprise. He is a two year old “mob” boss who believes he is above the law, above every person in the earth and even above God himself. I’m praying he’ll get his due very soon.

I teach Kindergarten, and just keep waiting for him to act more maturely than my students. Fortunately for me, but unfortunately for our country, my kids are more considerate, better humored, and if they even try to bully or name call in class, they face consequences and are expected to improve. How low our standards are when our top executive can’t measure up to kindergarten expectations. Ugh!

LYNN COOK's avatar

Thank you, GG...you and all teachers who'se calling is a labor of love.

With the administration's egregious " dumbing down education" at all levels in our children's lives....you are " The Keepers of the Flame" burning brightly in America today.

While the putative " leaders" in D.C." kleptocracy cult" seek to create obstacles to educating our next generations of honorable and fruitful leaders...YOU, the teachers of today....are the " hope" we all cling to that what YOU ALLdo each day is the " death nell peal" ringing out for the World to hear...and take great comfort in the surety that abject failure this man & his cult will suffer because of their heinous actions against children & the very future of our beloved country. Teachers are our HEROS!

For your strength, courage, & love....

God Bless you.all!

I personally believe that the most important comment I heard was from a Constituent who asked Grassley why the President wasn’t obeying the court orders of the Federal District and Supreme Court to bring the guy home our Government mistakenly sent to El Salvador.

When Senator Grassley told the man that the President doesn’t have to obey the Supreme Court order Grassley deflected. This town hall being in Ohio - the male constituent got direct and asked if he was told by the Supreme Court that he had to pay a $1200 fine he would have to pay it, but was Senator Grassley telling the man the President wouldn’t have to pay it???

SENATOR GRASSLEY responded that the President did not have to obey the law. The burly man’s reaction:

“I’m Pissed”

Think about that Republicans AND

Remember your oath you took to protect and defend the Constitution

Then remember ALL THOSE GUNS out there that your party laughed about restricting.

The Second Amendment was designed to enforce the adherence to the Constitution

steve's avatar

In most countries that are civilized, Grassley's response would be considered TREASON.

John/ Bring It On 🤠🌵🪖's avatar

Grassley is a coward just like the rest of them. We need 100's of people like Sanders and AOC out there doing the same thing. As citizens it's probably time to go full throttle with resistance!!!

Grassley is a full-blooded Putin owned criminal felon. When all the corruption and bribery he has been involved in finally are revealed.........Satan will consider him to be his son. He already appears to be visiting his dad regularly. How does anything that foul manage to stand upright??

Maria K.'s avatar

OMG, I love that line from The Mummy! And yes - comeuppance is SO overdue for this one. The problem is - he doesn't respond to traditional forms of protest. He doesn't care about ratings - he dismisses them as "fake news", he doesn't care about protests - he insists those are people paid to show up. People like him only understand the kind of consequences that are applied directly to them in a palpable way, and I don't know what we can do in that respect. Like, it would be awesome if the entire White House staff just up and walked out, including his Secret Service detail - and they couldn't hire anyone else. That would be cool.

AnonC's avatar

I would like for the FBI to arrest him on charges of treason and toss him in prison and throw away the key!

Maria K.'s avatar

That would be very nice. But how do we get there? Remember, SCOTUS handed him immunity for any official business. Since he is now president - he can argue that literally anything he does, his every sneeze and fart, is official business and, thus, renders him immune from any consequences.

AnonC's avatar

Have to take back House and Senate in BIG numbers and impeach, and this time, escort him out of the WH. With armed guards. It may have to come to that; getting back the Justice Department will be key.

Maria K.'s avatar

Oh, I agree. But I am concerned whether we will still have elections by then. That's why I am looking for things to do now - but they have to be things that work. And so far.... not a lot seems to work.

Angelica's avatar

the comeuppance only seem to happen in the movies. He hasn't got any yet.

LYNN COOK's avatar

Not quite yet, Angelica....feel the snowball just start rolling down.that long glacial.hill ? Slowly....very slowly at first....gathering momentum day by day???

Every new egregious insult to the grass.roots people is beginning to.irritate a little quicker. Countless numbers are beginning.to respond...each in his/her own way.

Judges, educational institutions, states filing law suits...protests ..etc. The list goes on...and growing!.

Keep the fight alive...keep your eyes on.that snowball...

But for heck’s sake, Adam, what more can one expect?

Trump’s a sociopath. A serial liar.

One who is extremely arrogant and self-centred, thinking only of himself.

One who disregards the feelings and needs of others. Devoid of empathy.

A man who manipulates, uses, and exploits others for personal gain or pleasure.

One who has an overwhelming greed for power.

A man intent upon exacting revenge against those who dare to criticise him.

A man who lacks conscience, regret or remorse for his actions.

One who is cruel and takes pleasure in the pain of others.

A man who suffers from paranoia and mistrust of others.

C’mon folks. It’s not rocket science.

Bonny Becker's avatar

Let's not forget that the Republicans could stop this at any time. The obvious remedy is impeachment. We are not helpless. The remedy is there, but the Republicans won't use it. Blaming Trump is only part of the equation. He doesn't care and won't change. But Republican Senators and Reps care about retaining power and face elections soon. (Although I have no doubt that the admin already has plans on how to ensure there is no free and fair election in 2026.) So let's get focused on the GOP politicians while there is still some pressure than can be applied. .

steve's avatar

Showing up at their town halls voicing your displeasure about their obviously treasonous actions and publicly shunning them and their sociopath families that support them would be a good idea.

crazy cat lady's avatar

i believe you just described a PSYCHOPATH. sociopath is too kind a word.

Marlene Cohen Adair's avatar

Yes, the party with the most power to provide structure and discipline to a two year old in-tantrum is the parent in the room. I have never known of a parent who was judged for giving nonviolent but clear consequences for destructive behavior by a toddler bent on destroying everything around him. That is the definition of a tantrum; unbridled rage behavior.

Pat in AZ's avatar

That sums it up perfectly! It's beginning to feel like 1939 Germany in the USA!

crazy cat lady's avatar

i agree! when i saw the video of the masked ice agents surrounding the woman student and arresting her, all i could think of was the gestapo in 1939 germany.

steve's avatar

Notice how they try to hide their faces from their neighbor's view?? The Gestapo and KGB used to do the same thing.

steve's avatar

ICE is acting no differently than the Gestapo. They will try to give the same excuse of following orders. Democracy loving Americans need to make sure that they don't get a free pass!!

Michelle Ponkutcat 060's avatar

"Following orders" was no excuse at Nuremburg. And it shouldn't be here either. They know what they are doing is wrong and they should be held accountable.

LYNN COOK's avatar

Pete....dear Sir !

Have never seen a more succinct " menu" of trump's " finer " attributes .

Could you list some of his more grossly nauseating" qualities" for comparison.??

Pete Martinez's avatar

Lynn,

it’s globally recognised Trump suffers unequivocally from a serious case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Here’s a list of its symptoms as detailed by the Mayo Clinic. You’ll agree the former president ticks every single box.

He always exaggerates his achievements and talents.

He takes advantage of others to get what he wants.

Has the inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others.

He behaves in an arrogant or haughty manner, coming across as conceited, boastful and pretentious.

He has an exaggerated sense of self-importance.

He has a sense of entitlement and requires constant, excessive admiration.

He expects to be recognised as superior even without achievements that warrant it.

He reacts with rage or contempt and tries to belittle the other person to make himself appear superior.

And to think, despite all those dire warnings that were made to the American people by THIRTEEN of his former top aides, the majority of voters refused to listen! This odious and very dangerous character is now the president of the world’s most powerful country! Hell’s bells!

LYNN COOK's avatar

Pete...dear Sir.

My comment was intended as" tongue in cheek" humor...afraid I need to go back to the drawing board.Mea culpa...

Your last paragraph sums up.my strong distaste for this man..this " president in name only" and his kleptocracy of mini minds. Dunning-Kruger ' infected' ( sic).

Have rabid cult members in my family....people I love dearly. a constant heartache to me. Their total subservience to this sick maggot is way beyond my ken. Sad.

Pete Martinez's avatar

Hi Lynn

Perhaps you misconstrue? I understood you perfectly but my sincere apologies if I didn’t make myself clear.

Keep up the very good work!

LYNN COOK's avatar

Thank you for your kind words, Pete.

Do so enjoy your posts....

It's Come To This's avatar

Anybody who hasn't filled themselves up with silly bullshit has long understood that this wretched little man has always had the emotional maturity of a 2-year-old after Mommy took away his third bowl of Sugar Smackies.

The horrible question remains: what does he have on the entire Republican Party that they didn't laugh this pathetic, phony asshole off the premises about 15 years ago? What on earth is THAT about?

H20_crucial's avatar

Trump operates like Epstein, praying on the weaknesses or missteps of others and if there aren’t any, just make it up. He uses favors, coercion, promotions and blackmail to enact his bidding. It started with his family, congress, his lawyers, judicial branch, followers and anyone who had the misfortune of his sexual interests. His quest for power and influence never stops and continues to grow like a cancer. Unfortunately democracy may succumb.

crazy cat lady's avatar

corbin - i couldn't agree more. i've been wondering that myself. what, indeed, is THAT about?

Pat in AZ's avatar

I think they're terrified of him.

Joan Bailey's avatar

Terrified of what exactly… of his orange makeup rubbing off on them? Of his smelly body odor engulfing them? He’s a fat old man, who lies about everything to make himself feel better. Think the guy behind the curtain in “The Wizard of Oz”. He’s frantically spinning dials and levers hoping no one peeks behind the curtain.

H20_crucial's avatar

He attaches a target on anyone who opposes him eg. specific judges (anyone who had the misfortune of ruling against him in city of law) universities where Obama attended Columbia and Harvard, any rnc member who stood up to him Cheney and Kinzinger and many in the FBI/CIA / military . He is relentless and will not stop until he dystroys them. It just does not stop

Debra Garries's avatar

Blind power grab? This is similar to pre-war Germany in my opinion.

Theresa McGinness's avatar

And his regime is appeasing the spoiled little boy likely for their own gains. Birds of a feather kind of thing. I admit I’m getting freaked out at the caving of lawyers, firms, universities… I hope the majority holds out. It’s the numbers that can band together and resist.

Emkaykay's avatar

Miller and P2025 see him as opening the gates to make their dreams come true. He can also be the fall guy for the bad stuff.

Lucille Sanchez-corea's avatar

On the topic of resistance, I heard a very interesting strategy.

State attorneys general should take the lead prosecutions because the STATES are governments

echo4bravo's avatar

Spot on. I can only add: good on Harvard for standing up.

Joan Bailey's avatar

Yeah, good for them for not caving. Now that they’ve set that standard, we need to see the rest of the universities resist him too. Very disappointed of those who did cave, including the TEN or so law firms. Almost to the tipping point of too far gone. But we can’t and won’t give up.

Jerry Horwedel's avatar

Thanks Adam - could you comment on the book purge at the Naval Academy Nimitz library? Talk about censorship in the spirit of Hitler's Third Reich! What in the heck is going on in this country? This is dangerous stuff that keeps moving democracy in the wrong direction and setting up an authoritarian administration run by Trump's crony oligarchs. As a father to four and grandfather to 11 I fear for their future.

Sal Teodoro's avatar

You mean a fit 6’2” 224lb man that wins many golf tournaments. 😂🤣😂

Joan Bailey's avatar

Those stats are laughable. Does he really think we are that stupid to believe those numbers when we’ve all seen him in his golfing clothes, not hiding behind the ridiculous big floppy suits?

Sal Teodoro's avatar

He probably threatened the doctor. 6’2” was probably his waist size and 224 was his blood pressure.

Marty Beert's avatar

He is an absolute liar knowing nothing else but his very essence as a psychopathic narcissistic misogynistic evil doing personna.

Lynette Slover's avatar

Thank you for today’s post Adam-and yes it’s true we’re dealing with a lot of temper tantrums-MAGA style!!!

Bob B.'s avatar

Totally agree Adam. But I have one ask: please stop making references to Trump being a king or an emperor, we don’t have kings here and saying we now do just gives them power and, in a way, normalizes it. He’s an f’n wannabe, nothing more.

AnonC's avatar

I AGREE, Bob. Adam! Thank you for listening to this.

Bob Laws's avatar

Thank you for the list of heinous actions by this felon and adjudicated rapist. And not to mention his unconstitutional stance on Abrego. What a Putz. Evil.

A classic psychopath with narcissistic traits. Impulsive, angry, emotionally shallow, manipulative, pathological liar, promiscuous, prone to criminal behavior. I am talking about the Robert Hare psychopathy list, not Trump's qualities. Better persons than Trump are in San Quentin or Rikers Island. I say this as a true crime author.

Bernadette's avatar

Yes he needs to be impeached and removed from office. Frankly I think Kamala should request a hand recount of all ballots! I don’t doubt that Trump cheated. The stats on the election are suspicious esp when you consider he won all 7 swing states?
