Didn't he die in exile? Sounds like a plan 🤣🤣🤣. Trump certainly deserves that sooner rather than later.

Kathy

Prior to that , Napoleon led an army of about

600,000 into Russia . The Russians starved

his forces out so they began an ill fated retreat .

Only about 60,000 returned to France .

Napoleon departed to Paris before the main

body retreated . His belly was full . The rest starved or were picked off by Cossacks as they retreated . So apparently the army was just

losers and suckers .

Let’s skip to the exile.

I have been telling people, Trump will never be Napoleon. Not because he doesn’t want to, but because Napoleon actually picked up his weapons and fought in the wars he started. Hard to do when you feel like you are entitled to no less than 5 deferments from service because of “bone spurs .”

RuthAnne Leibman's avatar

In addition to Napoleon’s brilliant military prowess, he was an extraordinarily capable government manager and administrator. He was a polar opposite of Trump in all regards, except an insatiable lust for power

Laura Rodriguez-Carbone's avatar

Donald would be, a best, a Temu version of this.

Yep. Alexander the Great was the FIRST to climb over enemy encampment walls & lead his men on. Just imagine, if you will.........................................

Let's skip to the exile part posthaste.

Trump isn't smart enough to know Napolean uttered those words AND if he did, he certainly would not want to self identify with a short man that stood only 5'6".

We can only guess which brown nose minion provided those words to the illiterate orange clown to regurgitate.

KC Compton's avatar

We should start a brown nose pool and place small bets on which of his suck-up minions is feeding him what ...

I’ll pay for his one way ticket to St. Helena.

Ha! I was just thinking that! Can his buddies go with them, including Howdy Doody of the House of Representatives?

Or Pitcairn island or just GITMO (with no A/C)

We the People can and will stop him and his cronies

I'm betting on the "ordinary" MAGAs in the red hats doing it for us. Nov, 2026 can't come too soon. His supporters are the ones who're already feeling the pinch. How about those farmers who had it touch during trump #1 and then voting for him today? trump is pulling what he used to do in Atlantic City...not pay his suppliers. What? They thought he changed? They're being gobsmacked and they don't know it yet. So, here's hoping, wishing and praying.

HarrisWalz FTW 2024's avatar

We can't wait until then. Everything, up to and including what Adam quoted as his latest, points to a man who has no intention of ever having elections again. We must act now.

There's people today marching in the streets, we just need more. Lot's more!!! And I thank them for that.

John/ Bring It On 🤠🌵🪖's avatar

Thanks, very little news media reporting on the protest. That really pisses me off!!! I guess something bad has to happen to get their attention.

James Rodell's avatar

Same here, Diane, along with 2000 other folks in Salem, Oregon

Pamela Wing's avatar

Cool. I'm kind of surprised , I thought Salem was more conservative. I saw a lot of Trump banners around when I was in Oregon a couple of years ago. Signs saying ULTRA MAGA. Thanks James and Diane for representing.

I was born in Salem, my grandfather owned the biggest cannery there. I still remember my address. That was in the early 50s. My mom was big into Republican politics in those day so I think Salem was conservative even back them. It's good to see people stepping up.

John/ Bring It On 🤠🌵🪖's avatar

Congress certainly isn't going to do it!

Jason Orcamoon's avatar

John - I am hopeful that there are enough Rs in the House and Senate that believe Putin is an enemy, who see their districts decimated by the illegal cuts, who see the damage tariff trade wars are causing and know that the Pi Day government shutdown talking point blaming Ds is total BS so they go Independent, flipping the House and Senate.

Hopefully a reckoning is coming in March.

Sandy's avatar

Only if we keep calling and writing our representatives and Senators and remind them that they work for us and they are failing. Failing has consequences. Does any of them remember the French Revolution?! It was a tragic, bloody end of the leaders. History repeats itself when people are starving and have no hope.

I Resist's avatar

Unfortunately Rs are in exile John. The MAGA party would follow him into the ocean or drink the arsenic laced strawberry Kool Aid. I think we need to be realistic about who and what we are dealing with here, full blown Constitutional crisis!

Jason Orcamoon's avatar

Bob - We are on day 29 of this reign of terror. Don’t give up that quickly! I have mentioned before here that I am waiting until 1 May, the 101 day point, to assess where we are as a nation.

As time goes by many MAGA RShits are going to be bombarded by their constituents as they find they have no place to sell their peanuts, wheat, etc; inflation is going up, not down; cars will cost 1,000s more; their children are dying from measles; etc, etc, etc.

I fully expect MAGA to shut down the government on 14 March. I believe that this will happen because MAGA already has a talking point blaming the Ds.

Remember the “I did this” Joe Biden stickers that MAGIDIOTS were putting on gas pumps? I have friends starting to see those stickers with Orange Hitler pointing at egg prices.

I hope Adam is trying to convince his friends in Congress to go Independent!

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

John/ Bring It On 🤠🌵🪖's avatar

I agree, by the way Jason said it not John!

What the hell is going on with the Republicans in Congress. Where is their oath to the Constitution. Musk and PINO(president in name only )Trump are destroying our country. 😡 i really am feeling hopeless😢.

The Vicar's avatar

Right? The cowardice of these republicans is beyond me. Don’t they have children too? Don’t they want their flight home to be safe? The enablers are even more responsible that the dictators they enable.

LYNN COOK's avatar

Have voiced the same words so.many times, Thomas!.a the gutless ...the thirty pieces of silver sellout McConnelites...of congress ( lower case intentional!).

What makes life worth selling your soul...your integrity...your life' s legacy for position...gold...you can't take it with you. How do.they wish to be remembered by their children, their family at large. They must live on with the legacy the mc Connelltes lemmings have have foist upon them...good or ill . Wonder if that group of miscreant cowards ever give a thought to the tainted legacy they will leave to their family...to history.?

Jason Orcamoon's avatar

Delia & Thomas - I am hopeful that there are enough Rs in the House and Senate that believe Putin is an enemy, who see their districts decimated by the illegal cuts, who see the damage tariff trade wars are causing and know that the Pi Day government shutdown talking point blaming Ds is total BS so they go Independent, flipping the House and Senate.

Hopefully a reckoning is coming in March.

Donald Sinclair Richardson's avatar

Don’t do that. If you feel hopeless they win. Go positive, shake it off and move ahead.

John/ Bring It On 🤠🌵🪖's avatar

Don't feel hopeless, it's to early into the resistance.

Jordan Sollitto's avatar

Take a breath. We're in uncharted waters and it's unclear exactly what levers we can and will use to prevent Trump's worst excesses, but tens of millions of Americans oppose the constitutional indifference of this administration and we will find a way to resist it. It's taking some time since, again, this has never before happened and there is no existing playbook.

Delia Tereba's avatar

I understand what you’re saying. But some days it’s very difficult when all I can see is the rapid destruction of musk and his ilk ramming through the different agencies in the government and so many people’s lives being affected. it would help if I could see a few Republicans in Congress, actually standing up to this craziness Then I would know that we will be OK. Just where I’m at today. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Pamela Hall's avatar

Hi Delia, I have some facebook "friends" who are rabid MAGA. I have been telling them not to worry about the cuts Musk wants to make in Medicare or Social Security. (Medicare provides payments to nursing homes after people run out of their own money which usually happens relatively quickly). I tell them this is a great opportunity to "honor thy father and mother" by providing the care the parents need now that they can no longer afford the nursing home. Yes, it means taking their parents in and tending to all their needs but this is what Jesus would have them do to show their love for their parents and for Jesus. For those whose parents social security gets cut they can either supplement them or take them in.

Now the funny thing is that for some reason most people don't like the idea of taking care of mom and dad 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I don't hesitate to let them know that this would be their new reality, AND that this is what God wants them to do.

LYNN COOK's avatar

Brilliant, Pamela....top drawer !.This antique nurse salutes your common sense!🤗

Anne Servant's avatar

Except that I'm one of the ones whose Social Security and Medicare will be cut. I couldn't have children and am what people call an elder orphan since no family left. I am too frightened to celebrate how this will hurt Maga.

Anne Servant's avatar

I feel the same way. I would like to see either side in Congress get up and fight.

LYNN COOK's avatar

The Platters, a great singing group in 1980's recorded a hit song written by Buck Rahm called " The Great Pretender" That's the title he so obviously.deserves.

I Resist's avatar

AWOL in brain, present, sort of in body. See my earlier comment.

Diane Baron's avatar

Adam, I am so impressed with you and your videos and posts. We really need a national figure to rally around and lead the resistance. It's wonderful to have so many groups in every state protesting and some judges thwarting some of the most egregious things. But it's like putting a finger in a dike to hold back the sea.

Could you be that person or at least help find someone? In all countries where there has been a coup, the only way to stop it is for a charismatic leader ( maybe with help of the military ), to galvanize the country. There IS so little law and order now so trying to fight back with law and order doesn't seem to do it.

To be honest, it's hard to read all about the crazy sh*t he does, because he's only doing what he said he would do The only difference is that he had abdicated to Musk and the law does not seem to cover him either. We must take the country back.

Teresa G's avatar

We need a strong vocal shadow government. I think that Adam should and needs to play a role in this shadow government.

Adam you know lots of people.

That or anyone know Luigi?

And then they had to explain in simpler words since he has the vocabulary of a third grader with an IQ to match.

Trump circled the track at this weekend's NASCAR race. He did not stand at Nazi salute stance as Hitler did. He looked timid behind the armored window and had a child riding with him. He will never actually fight to gain or keep power. Others have to do everything for him, that included.

The MAGA trainwreck is nearing the booby trapped bridge. It will take lots of them with it and all the rest must be rooted out of the Government. The minority must never be allowed to rule under a Toddler King.

The Vicar's avatar

OMG. Great, stealing dictators lines from past generations. To his credit, his did come and say he wanted to be a dictator on day 1. I think I need a drink.

Nancy Gudeman's avatar

I was thinking about this new reality that we now live under a government in which Trump rules as an emperor and requires of those who serve in government that they make him their god. Loyalty to him above all else is the requirement. We’ve seen it before most clearly in the Roman Empire- Caesar worship. We’ve also seen it in numerous despots throughout history, including Napoleon. I am deeply offended by the way our legislators have bowed the knee and placed him above their loyalty to God, the constitution, and the people of this country. As a Christian, I am most deeply offended by those who profess to be Christians, but have joined this emperor worshiping cult. Since when did the fruit of the spirit become arrogance, lying, absence of care for others, adultery, hatred, slander and revenge.

I am so grateful for you Adam and for all of you out there who are willing to be loyal to our constitution, to treat others with respect, and to examining and valuing what is true.

Cindy Marshall's avatar

Beautifully stated, Nancy!!

Mike Johnson loves him a good Bible verse but forgot "thou shalt have no other Gods before me" as he bows to his orange king. You said it well Nancy.

Barbara .Siek's avatar

Does the aging, pre-dementia Trump not remember what fate awaited Napoleon?

WayneNW's avatar

That would require him to read history or some minion would have to give him the negative news which, of course, would never happen.

VickijH78's avatar

I wonder if the nasty twit Stephen Miller told trump about Napoleon?! Miller is a vile human being who hates most people. Trump is no Napoleon for the reasons stated in above comments. And the people turned on Napoleon, let’s send Trump, Musk, and the gang to whatever “Elba/Russia” exile is now.

I don’t want to feel helpless, I am doing what I can. It’s only a tiny part (a fraction), but it’s better than nothing. We can each do our part.

Thanks, Adam

Stephen Miller is really a vile human, I agree.

I was reading up on Project 2025 today, looking for the major changes that will impact me personally...like HUD, where I get my rent subsidized apartment. Ben Carson wrote that chapter, and it's as stupid and cruel as you'd expect. It looks like I'll be okay, since I'm elderly and disabled; But God help any family with immigrants, single women with children, or any non-white families. Priority will be given to married couples - but even they will have to get jobs. Homeless people will have to take care of whatever problem made them 'unsheltered'- drugs, mental illness, etc- in the appropriate institution or halfway house. No new affordable housing will be built, because it brings down nearby property values. Reading it made me feel sick. Even disabled vets will have to work if they are at all able. Mental illness? No excuse!

This ReMade America is going to be a hard, cold, mean place.
