Good journalists and reporters know that absolutely no one is too powerful to report on, and they should never pull a punch out of fear. "To give the news impartially without fear or favor, regardless of party, sect or interests involved."

Adam, can't believe you just sent this out! Literally, about 10 minutes ago, I just said to a friend that 47's team operates in the shadows and that evil lurks in the darkness. Yes, 47 tells us some things. He dangles shiny objects while the press and people go RUNNING (whether it's good or bad), but then, behind the scenes, something more awful is in the works. We try to take a high road, but then the opponents always see you coming. We could learn something from this strategy- get them looking for us on the high road and send some troops in to surround them. Gen. Washington didn't win all the battles/skirmishes against the British in the American Revolution, but he did not give up. He took them by surprise on Christmas eve (used a ferry of my ancestors, who participated in the battle!) after they had been partying and fell asleep. The conditions were awful, snowy and cold. We could learn a lot more lessons from history, PLAN strategically and take them by surprise! BUT, we need someone of great character to lead the charge! Praying that someone worthy will step up! I'm a foot soldier, not a General. I'll follow but need someone who will lead. Who will that leader be?

These were not perfect people, but our trust in them lay in their admission that they were not perfect but they were trying People who reminded the populace of noble ideals.

This is my long winded way of saying we have got to focus on talking about what the world should look like. What it did look like during times when people DID rise up and say “No more tyranny, no more injustice.” So many people have, or are on the edge of, giving up because they can’t see what things “should be” like. And our younger generation no longer hear noble stories. We’ve gutted history as a subject in the schools. So we have got to bring it into the homes. Looking at the UK this week, how the stories of VE Day are being told, the WW2 vets being honored, school children over there are being exposed to those stories, that history. And here? What are they learning. Absolutely nothing except the kind of presidency that Trump is roaring through right now.
I was a young man in 1974-75 when the Nation was preparing for the 200th anniversary of the United States in 1976. It seemed that there were always special events during the lead-up to July 4th 1976. Special trains, lots of Bicentennial apperal, special coins, etc.
Here we are in the lead-up to the 150th anniversary of the United States and many of us are praying to God that we can once again celebrate Freedom on July 4th 2026!
