I’d reverse the order: find Trump guilty for all his past felonies because many on the fence will then not vote for him. The media almost never say that registered Rep are like 24 percent, Dem are 27 percent and guess what, 49 percent now consider themselves independent voters regardless of registration. These felony cases need to be held before the election. If Trump were elected he will pardon himself and all his Jan 6 buddies, and as Ms Cheney said, you will never get that guy to leave office! Remember he’s a wimpy sore loser.

In my opinion, People who spew such vile and disrespectful words as Trump does, doesn't deserve ANYONE'S vote at the ballot box. Sadly though, most political advertising and speech has stooped to that level over the past decades.
There have been extremely marginalized communities for generations - Blacks, LGBTQ’s, women, etc. But only white, rural, “Christian” Americans, feeling “left behind” have resorted to storming the Capitol and are promising to end Democracy in a cult-fueled bloodbath if their guy doesn’t win. They’re Aided and abetted by the billionaire class who could not give a crap about them, and only want their tax breaks and deregulation. So I’m sorry, but I don’t feel sorry for these people.

When thinking what a pathetic, weak, lunatic that Trump is, I can’t wrap my head around the fact that he may wind up in the White House AGAIN. We went to a celebration of life for a 30 year old young man that we have known since he was 3. He was an avid bicyclist and a distracted driver plowed into him, killing him. This young man was a gifted student, got perfect scores on his SATs, Eagle Scout, received Order of the Arrow in scouts, gifted musically, early admission into Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, double majored and excelled in his job. This is the sort of person to look up to, to believe in, to be such an asset to our world. Not a weak, pathetic, lunatic. What is wrong in this country that we have so many people idolizing this danger to our democracy?
Hearing some interviews of people at Trump rallies, many feel that democracy hasn’t worked for them so they think a dictatorship is the way to go. They are willfully ignorant just as so many Germans beginning in 1933.

One of the messages from the family is to remember, the bike didn’t kill him, the distracted driver did. Another one is as a driver or bicyclist, be aware of your surroundings at all times. Also, as a bicyclist to wear reflective clothing, have lights and reflectors on on your bike. The last message is to be an organ donor, as this young man was.
I can only imagine Elaine, how hard this is. I believe he's in a better place but that is little comfort to those left behind, like your son. But it's great you're using this advice to honor him! I am an organ donor but no one wants my brain 😊! Sorry. I'm hoping a little levity will make you smile during this sad time.

Thank you for putting this together so succinctly. I grew up in rural Michigan with people who now are his followers. I left, they stayed, felt ignored and got angry. I love going home to visit, and when you talk to people there, it’s easy to understand their frustrations. It breaks me to see them fall for this charlatan, because “he fights for us”. Talk about voting against your own interests. Please keep speaking, maybe even just a few will crack and come back to reality.

If we all considered what is best for our grandchildren or our neighbor’s grandchildren, we’d be planning on supporting the Democratic Party, right now.
Perhaps in the future, we’d support the Greens but at the moment, that would increase the chance of the Orange Devil winning!
