We're the victim, and it will take years to recover (after my lifetime, most likely).

Trump doesn't know how to be a president. His modis operandi is shystering, and pretending to be valid - it works most of the time!

Everything about this rotten, two-bit, twice-impeached, forever-disgraced, grubby, petty, pissy, whiny little criminal always screams "MY LITTLE PENIS."

Thanks for modeling courage at a time when plenty of people are debating whether they should go into hiding to protect themselves. I understand Trump’s pathology (I’m a therapist). What I do not understand are those who go along with his delusional schemes. When he is gone, no one will protect them. I hope.

Put more crudely that you would, I imagine, as a therapist, someone said that monsters will be monsters; they do what monsters do. The others have a choice. IMHO they lack integrity and courage or are hoping to grift sufficiently that they and their heirs will be set for life, the country be damned.

Donffrey Trumpstein sings this tune so often that he must owe the estate of the late Warren Zevon a fortune in royalties by now!

"Poor, poor pitiful me

Poor, poor pitiful me

These young girls won't let me be

Lord, have mercy on me

Woe is me"

I was here for this Zevon show in Passaic NJ 1982. The lyric about young girls is especially applicable now given trump's entanglement in the Epstein Files! Who knew trump's grandfather was a cowardly German draft dodger and brothel owner that got kicked out of Germany for doing so. He ended up in the US in disgrace. The nut didn't fall far from that family tree.

Gotta go now and bring my dog outside to take his morning "trump".

I was born and raised 5 miles west of the Capitol Theater. You were on a mission that took bravery! Tough area.

Allen B from MD's avatar

I grew up in Piscataway and went to a lot of shows (maybe 25-30?) at the Capitol, "back in the day". Back then you didn't have to take out a mortgage to buy a ticket!

Trump knows if there is an honest election he will be defeated and sent to jail!!

Sally Sprague's avatar

I would be happy to drive the loser/liar to prison. 😆

Robot Bender's avatar

In an armored car, of course. With military escorts.

Sally Sprague's avatar

That works. Hope I don’t get a speeding ticket! 😂

Go, Adam! I would relish seeing The Felon brought to justice, all of his dirty laundry publically exposed and then locked behind bars for a very long time. I am hoping that justice will prevail.

I hope he drops dead actually and saves the tax payers the cost of housing him, clothing him and feeding him.

He will probably end up in a cushy federal pen or a hospital due to medical issues. Neither is punishment enough.

Mariellen's avatar

I’m afraid he won’t go to jail/prison due to his age and health. The old, “It’ll be a life sentence for me.” TOO BAD!,

Nancy's avatar

Then we're still left with the Vance/Miller/Vought trio. No way back as long as the MAGAites continue rushing to destroy our Constitution.

how about a padded cell?

Sally Sprague's avatar

Absolute truth Adam. Thank you for your service, work and dedication to this country.

Nancy's avatar

It's more like Stephen Miller is panicking. He's running the show!

Valerie's avatar

Miller probably has a one-way open ticket booked to Buenos Aires when things get too hot.

I’m sure he’ll hang out with his Nazi friends in Buenas Aires.

In your willingness to answer any questions, what are your thoughts on the astronomical national debt. Are there constraints that can be placed? Additionally I have felt that our founding fathers never intended Congress to be a career. While there should be mechanisms to promote continuity, what are your thoughts on Congressional term limits? I think there might be more interest in doing what is right for the country versus how do I keep my position or be prepared to be a lobbyist!

DALLAS BAXTER's avatar

Wah-hoo! Term limits and age limits - for everyone especially in Congress and the Supremes.

No Republicans, none, at the hearing about the ICE murders. That takes the cake! Even people retiring are in the thrall of this buffoon.

And let's see how the latest offer to Minnesotans about ICE goes. Folks in Minnesota are no fools ...

Carol Bratcher's avatar

Jim, you hit the nail on the head! There should be term limits on all areas concerning elected officers or appointed. And they should not be allowed to make this a life long career. Age limits should be in place as well. Progress is only made with new ideas and inventions. Those usually come from the upcoming generations. The oldees are not always the goodees.

Minnesota is the model for resistance …It may take more people in the streets for them to notice

Weaponization of the the Department of Justice is just part of The Plan. The Plan utilizes intimidation and extortion as tactics to accomplish its strategy which is the subjugation of all of American Society. Trump is merely the greedy salesman who wants to use the power of the Presidency to pursue his lifelong habits of lying, cheating and stealing his way to incredible wealth. The Plan's architects, Miller, Vought and Roberts (pick whichever Roberts you like) have larger goals like hemispheric dominion. Subjugation of American society is but one step along the way. How much foreign influence has contributed to the design of The Plan is yet to be fully appreciated. Releasing the remaining 3,000,000 pages of evidence contained in the Epstein Files could reveal Vladimir Putin's influence in executing The Plan. We The People must awaken from our long complacent slumber. It's time America. You're on.

What saddens me most is that I have lost faith in agencies such as the DOJ and the FBI to, in the end, do the right thing. The leadership of virtually all government agencies have completely betrayed the country. While these agencies have made mistakes under previous administrations, I at least felt they were mistakes and not part of a larger effort to serve the demands of a insane president. It will take a generation or longer to repair the damage done in a single year by this rouge presidency.

Nancy's avatar

These are no longer agencies to have faith in because they are simply cult followers of DJT. It's a stunning fall for our country and Constitution!

Unfortunately he is still in the position to become a Dictator (if he’s not already). The lame GOP House and Senate (and Court) are allowing this to happen. If they allow the Feds to oversee Elections it will seal the deal as the elections will be fixed. What’s legal and illegal is irrelevant right now as Power is the name if the game. American people need to wake up now. Dictatorship CAN and IS happening here in the USA.

Do we know for sure he won 2024 election fairly? Maybe there was corruption on his part? We need to look into states he won!!!

Trump would not be getting away with this tsunami of destruction if not for those Supreme Court Justices that gave him a free pass.

Michael Otter's avatar

If anyone is weaponizing the Justice Department, it is Trump who is doing so. His claims of the Justice Department being weaponized against him are the rantings of someone who is terribly paranoid. Between his two presidencies the Justice Department was doing its job not picking on him. As you said, first he incited a riot on January 6th and when he left office, he took classified documents and stored them at Mar a Lago in far from secure conditions. Basically, he feels he can do anything he wants and there are no consequences for him. Someone needs to have the intestinal fortitude to give him the bad news that he isn't any different than us. I can only hope that the voters will have their say and begin the ending of this charade.
