I have thought of what we did not see. We never saw the grief of a mother and father as they silently suffered the repeated attempts to get help for their child. Which brings me to Trump. He does not have character. Does not have a soul. He has brutalized our world and we must NEVER excuse it. We are hurting, but we are NEVER giving up. We may be weary, but we life each other up. We are fragile, but we are strong. We live to see people strive to be their best. Trump will never experience the true joy of humanity. He is evil.

I had a clue when Trump called his AG a gutless pig. His VP a coward in front of an angry crowd. For doing the right thing. At a rally he did not call off when it got violent. I don't know what other info people needed; Republicans had other choices in the Primaries.
This tragedy could have been an opportunity to talk about the challenges of addiction. It affects people from all socioeconomic strata. This could have been an opportunity to direct people towards help or to encourage funding. But that involves thinking about other people.
I won't be surprised when Trump's next post claims that this is exactly why he's waging war on Venezuelan "drug boats" and claiming if people would just let him continue his extrajudicial killing spree, just maybe Rob Reiner and his wife would still be alive. "Nobody gives me credit for trying to save people!"
Even with reality staring us in the face, it is still difficult to believe that any person, especially the President of the United States, could be so utterly, utterly evil--completely without empathy, humanity, or compassion. I keep thinking there has to be--there MUST be--a limit to his cruelty and malice, and yet he always finds a way to sink even lower. He truly is an example of naked evil. Please, my fellow Americans who've supported him, please start to see this creature for what he is: a monster who will throw you under the bus (and in fact is doing this now) without a shred of remorse afterward. So far we've had two indelible stains on U.S. history: slavery and our treatment of Native Americans. Trump's presidencies are now the third.
