I made this difficult decision in 2024, and I never regretted it. In my heart I knew that it was what I had to do.

Very well said.

"a strong national defense, in living within our means, in faith and family and the rule of law"

For a long time now already, it's Democrats and Democrats only who not only adopt these values but also put them into practice.

The GOP has been doing the exact opposite, and that started with the neocons and their illegal war in Iraq, which, just like today's Iran war, was only about making wealthy oil companies even wealthier, all while horribly lying to the American people and the world, and killing thousands of our bravest young men and women.

It has to stop.

Voting for a Democrat today is the only way to restore democracy in the US. We should all continue to do so until the GOP is dismantled and a new, REAL, pro-democracy conservative party has been created.

All one needs to do is think of all of the CORRUPTION that is happening. Back as a child living in Alaska, my parents were Republican. They voted Republican. When I voted the first time at 19, I was told to vote my what was in my mind. Pretty tough at 19 in 1968. Lots going on at that time. Then I became an Independent. Moving to Connecticut was a real eye opening after living in the Last Frontier. This last fall I switched to Democrat because I knew that it was the only way that I could make a statement in the primaries. This is a tough world we live in. We don't have to agree all of the time with all of the people who make the laws; BUT we DO need to support the CONSTITUTION OF THE THE UNITED STATES. Get out and VOTE! Thank you Adam for your wise words and continued support of telling the Truth and reminding us that the Constitution is important.

I understand what you mean. We need to support the constitution of the United States. Democracy is very key to our beloved country. That is why my grandparents, my great grandma, and my parents taught the values, and how to love democracy and our beloved country. I have been an Independent. I am a moderate Independent. I was a Republican during high school. Republican left me. I switched it to Independent. I tend to vote for Democrats. I voted for Republican candidate for AG. Let’s have a large tsunami 🌊!!

Nicely said, Adam! Thanks for standing up for our country, again and again.

Thank you, Adam!

I left the Republican Party after Jan. 6, a truly horrible day. That said, I’ve always voted independently because I didn’t feel a perfect fit with either party. In addition to a new Congress holding grossly corrupt leaders accountable, I hope and pray that centrists from each (all) sides will truly focus on people’s needs and prove that integrity matters once again.

I have always been an independent or NPA voter. I'd rather not have that kind of pressure when making an important decision like voting in a reliable leader.

You are a true patriot, sir. I have been following you since your courageous stand when voting for trump impeachment.

I’m a registered Democrat, but I have voted for Republicans because I thought they were better leaders. I believe in all the principles you outlined as Republican principles. Living within your means, faith and family . But I also believe, through my faith, that I’m supposed to be the Good Samaritan. I’m not convinced that Republicans adhere to that part of their faith-whatever it is. I haven’t seen it in this administration.

I never vote ‘Party’ I vote ‘person’. If people are worried about socialism- they should return the Social Security checks back to the government; not subscribe to Medicare or Medicaid. Those are ‘socialist’ programs. Think about it!

As a small business owner for almost 30 years, I can assure you that Social Security and Medicare are NOT “socialist” programs. All our employees had over 6% of their earnings garnished for the 2 programs every paycheck. And - as employers of a company too small to utilize the loopholes, we matched it - every penny, right out of our pockets. That’s on top of our income and property taxes.

Absolutely fantastic post Adam. You definitely spoke for this 66 year old ex-Republican. The GOP left me too!

Thank you sir.

I have been here since Truman and the American people have always suffered when a Republican was in the White House. The 1970s was a period of great economic growth in this part of Arkansas. Reagan turned that switch off when he took his oath of office in 1981. America is not a service economy and trickle down economics is a lie.

People who have been here a long time knew that Donald Trump was a criminal asshole before 2015. Much of America didn't accept Obama as President and those people need to examine themselves over that. Much of America is still dead set against a woman being President and they need to examine themselves over that also.

The vote today is for the criminals or against them. Trump is going to crack down on America regardless, because he is a whiny little toddler.

Great Presidents are remembered. Trump can't force us to remember him, no matter how much gold he plasters on everything.

GO Blue Poems

Think about the corruption of the Republican values by supporting and defending Trump. Who was credibly accused of abusing women and children in the Epstein files. Shameful. Shameful.

If you are still voting for a Republican candidate, you must also share their lack of values by supporting a party who defends a man who abused women and children.

Republicans release the Epstein files

Your reasons not to, still beguiles

You passed a law to release the names on the Epstein list

You found Trump's name on it and then began to resist

We are voting to elect new members who will seek the truth

Something that you refused to do by remaining aloof

Reality is patient, but only if there is accountability

Republicans have forsaken their constitutional duty

The country is voting, and soon, we will know

Who is to stay in government and who is to go

I stated my case with my reasoning in rhyme

I pray our country will return to normal in time

Voting rights are guaranteed by the Constitution

We followed Trump's corruption and will seek restitution

Donald's assult on election workers is reprehensible

Elections must stay free of interference, for this we're all responsible

The people have spoken. It's time for a change

Our country has gone from sanity to the strange

For years, we watched the government's destruction

Republicans have allowed all of Trump's corruption

Things are more expensive because of Trump's tariffs

Corruption is, allowing Trump's lawyer as his AG and Sheriff

We hold these truths to be self-evident

Our Forefathers wrote in a letter they sent

It was in our declaration of independence

Divorce from a King who refused common sense

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness

Rights given by God, no man can transgress

We are sick of Trump abusing reporters when asked a question

We deserve answers from a president who leads our nation

We have many grievances with Trump's government

Our representatives will follow the law for Trump's judgment

There will be no more of Trump's unjust retribution

We will find all his corruption and seek restitution

We will tally the votes for Congress to seat the new members

Our country will recover from the dumpster's fire's embers.

Thank you for voting and fulfilling one of your constitutional duties to be able to live in a democracy.

No true American has the right to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power. We do not need to repeat our country's darkest day in our history. The attempt to stop the certification of our most basic constitutional right, the right to vote , and have our votes counted and recorded by Congress. No more sore losers and not another January 6th.

Investigations and accountability are the duties of our government. They should be done with bipartisan support and done according to the law.

This was written a few days ago in Steve Schmidt's, The Warning.

"The seriousness of the work must answer the dishonesty of the objections."
