He is an embarrassment. He lies, thinks he’s above the law, doesn’t take care about this country except to make a fortune. Elections can’t come soon enough!
I heard from a number of Felon followers. They honestly believe that The Felon made some sort of new deal. The Felon BACKED down and accepted the agreement that the US has with Greenland already. Can people be more unaware, uneducated? The Felon got his butt kicked yesterday in Davos. He is smoke and mirrors. He is an international embarrassment. GET HIM AND HIS ENTIRE ADMINISTRATION OUT!
IDK- I was shocked to find out my mild manners Physical Therapist said he voted for trump! We were talking about the stock market and I said it's because of trump's comments on Greenland. I said how the whole world hates us now worse than when we were called the Ugly Americans. He said oh you know if trump doesn't do this Russia or China will get Greenland. I said how I always thought he was and is such a conman and a corrupt fraudster. He asked me if I thought Biden was good. I said at least he was honest. He said everyone did well economically the first term. I said maybe but he never closed the wage gap between whites and minorities or women. He said jobs should be based on merit not race. I'm like what about women too? You think it's ok that years ago women and minorities could only get certain types of low level jobs? I was mad at myself for getting political but I just couldn't believe that someone I thought was like me saw things so differently still. Later I apologized for 'getting my Irish up'. He said no worries we all have different opinions and we laughed. But now I see that even good people still believe the hype!!! Well sorry to vent to you but I feel better now- lol
Not stupid, brainwashed. They were told and believe that newspapers, tv news are all full of lies. Only Fox tells them the truth. So they are blinded by reality, and told the lies that they believe. Bending the truth makes them believe in their leaders.
His. Cult. Does. Not. Read. Original. Sources. They hear raging, lying statements on their few news sources and take that as gospel truth. Then they cannot be convinced otherwise.
the trumpaholics will NEVER become smart and aware...we must stop considering that option. 92% of republicans say they still support dictator trump. they are admitting that they are racist uneducated morons. leave them be, ignore them, and stop treating them as charity cases and 'gifting' benefits to them when their red votes says quite clearly....'i don't want any dem benefits'... why can't we respect their vote - even if we think they are stupid? tooo much energy is spent trying to help stupid people who are adamant they don't want help....
His followers live in an echo chamber in which they get their "news" from Fox, Newsmax, and/or OAN... and refuse to believe other sources, if they check them out at all.
Mark Carney’s speech was perfect. Not because he was diplomatic or conciliatory, but because he refused to appease the bully. He spoke truth to power clearly: the world is building what comes next, with or without America.
This is exactly what I mapped in World Ahead 2026: Part 3. While the bully rambled about “daddy” and threatened prosecution for the 2020 election, allies were drawing the line. When he backed down on tariffs and claimed a “framework deal” on Greenland (which is just surrendering back to the original agreement), it proved the strategy works.
The bully confused Greenland with Iceland at Davos. The president of the United States, threatening to annex territory, can’t keep straight which country he’s targeting. And Carney, Macron, and other leaders watched this mental deterioration while calmly explaining they’re building European defense independence, activating economic countermeasures, and decoupling from American reliability.
The domestic brutality we are witnessing (secret ICE memos, Fourth Amendment shredding, detaining children) and the international realignment happening at Davos are the same phenomenon: American institutional collapse forcing everyone to build alternatives.
Allies aren’t waiting for 2026 midterms or hoping resistance materializes. They’re watching federal agents operate like brownshirts, a president who can’t distinguish NATO allies, and a regime that openly discusses prosecuting people for refusing to help steal elections. That’s disqualifying. Even if American democracy somehow recovers, the trust is gone.
Carney’s speech matters because it signals the strategy shift: not hoping America stabilizes, but building what works without American reliability. That external pressure might be the only thing that forces accountability domestically.
The world is moving on. And Davos this week showed they’re done waiting.
If only they would stop their "polite" clapping and just stand up and turn their backs on him. I believe that message would be much louder. Article 25, please.
I will respectfully puncture your balloon there, if I might.
Yes, Carney refused to appease the bully. And yes, he spoke accurately when he said 'either you're at the table or you're on the menu.' Had I been his advisor at Davos, I would have recommended he say exactly that. But what he is exhibiting is simply Canadian self-interest (and the self-interest of many mid-level powers) in the wake of a collapsing international system, being stabbed to death right now by a psychotic 2-year-old in the midst of a terrible tantrum.
History shows that when one order dies, what follows is not a bright, shiny new future, but a period of chaos, where fear, uncertainty, instability, political, military and economic costs all rise for everyone. It seems to me this is where we (the world) are right now. To paraphrase Antonio Gramsci from the 1920s, 'the old order is dying -- a new one is not yet born. In the period between, morbid realities assert themselves.' I am not sanguine.
You’re absolutely right to puncture the balloon. My comment highlighted what Could emerge (European defense independence, economic countermeasures, strategic decoupling) without adequately emphasizing what I actually wrote in World Ahead 2026: Part 3: the transition period is going to be chaotic, costly, and dangerous. I do agree with what you are saying.
What I mapped isn’t a bright shiny future that immediately awaits us. It’s regional fragmentation, competing blocs with incompatible systems, the collapse of universal frameworks, and the return to something resembling pre-1945 great power competition but with nuclear weapons, climate crisis, and AI thrown in. That’s a disjointed order that is chaotic to say the least.
You’re right that Carney exhibits Canadian self-interest amid collapse. That’s exactly the point. We’re past the era where mid-level powers could depend on American-led order. Now it’s every bloc for itself. Fear, uncertainty, instability rising for everyone. Gramsci’s interregnum where morbid realities assert themselves.
Allies building alternatives works better than appeasement but that does not necessarily mean the world that emerges will be better. It won’t be. Regionalization means more conflict zones, weaker crisis management, fragmented response to existential threats like climate. The liberal democratic order dying births chaos.
Carney’s speech matters not because it leads somewhere good, but because appeasement leads somewhere worse.
The world is choosing between bad options. The interregnum is here. The morbid realities are asserting themselves.
I'm more hopeful than that. I'm not certain by any means, but I still think Trump is a weird aberration — a cult leader whose movement will fragment into pieces once the leader dies or falls out of favor.
I'm not naive enough to think that those who supported Trump will suddenly become normal voters, but they will have no one to unite them into a single movement once Trump is gone. Vance certainly doesn't have the charisma for it. Fortunately, the end of Trump seems near; he, his policies, and his crazy administration's popularity are at an all-time low that I doubt will improve. After all, Trump is old, sick, and nuts — he won't be getting better, only more deranged and incapable of functioning.
It's a huge jump to assume that the end of the world order is near because of one sick old man who is despised and laughed at around the world. Once Trump is gone, the world will never go back to what it was before, but perhaps we will have learned something from it. Anyway, the world always changes, and we've always adapted. Once the lunatic cult leader of the problem is gone (or better still, in the ground and disgraced), we can get back to some version of normality and familiarity — both within the US and with our allies, who I hope understand that the huge majority of us in the US still consider them genuine friends, whom we still respect and need.
Why shouldn't the leader of Canada be interested in Canada? A reasonable sane leader addressing other reasonable sane leaders about the disintegration of the structures put in place after two world wars is being demolished seems ... reasonable and sane to me. Unfortunately, the president of the United States is not reasonable or sane and does not care about the interests of the United States. He cares about himself, money, real estate deals, looking tough, and all of the other things bullies care about. First he trashed the Constitution, now NATO and the United Nations, and brags about his dictator friends joining him in his new "Peace" organization. So if Carney, in his intelligent and well-received speech, cares about the interests of the country he represents, and encourages other leaders to find a way to work together, bravo.
You're not understanding my comment. I am speaking up for our wounded, punched, spat upon international system, not for Canada, or any other country in it. The system is being destroyed by exactly the person you described. Its death is not a joyful event for that system. Chaos is far more likely an outcome to all this than 'leaders working together.'
As the Joni Mitchell song goes, 'don't it always seem to go, you don't know what you got til it goes...'
And so are well over half the voters in the USA. At this point - our armed services should take charge and get rid of all these fools ruining our democracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well said, Johan. Unfortunately I don’t believe external pressure or otherwise will force accountability. For whatever crazy reasons or logic this orange d*ck escapes accountability time and time again. The only accountability that will happen for him is when he leaves this present realm.
While calling his meltdown at Davos an embarrassment is an understatement, watching his lackeys quarterbacking his lies and delusions brought us even more shame.
A wording to Article IV of our Constitution, which applies to states' rights to prosecute for crimes committed in and against their state have the right to dissolve the entire administration responsible for treasonous actions.
Not hard to embarrass himself. Just has to spew out his lies. So great to see them stand up to him. When will maga realize we are a diminished country because of him?
The world knows what we here in the USA are suffering through, and I think that Davos signaled not just resistance to Trump but support for the American People. At least, I hope so. Adam's words ring true in my ears.
With the madness spreading in the US, Adam, how do we proceed?
There is no limit to how deeply Trump can humiliate himself (though he doesn't know it) or the United States (though he doesn't care). It's a wonder that every European didn't simply get up and walk out. This man knows nothing and understands nothing. How can Republicans, if only for their own self-preservation, continue to support him? I doubt any serious statesperson anywhere in the world thinks he is remotely fit to be president, and their unexpressed contempt for him must be beyond measure. I suspect many of them were sitting there during that speech thinking, "This can't possibly be happening." But this is also terrifying. It seems incredible that so much of the world is being held hostage to the whims, lies, and pathologies of such a sick, twisted creature. It's worthy of a dystopian novel. And what's even more frightening is that the rest of the free world, our allies (perhaps now former allies) are saying among themselves, "We can't depend on the U.S. anymore so we'll have to make other arrangements and depend only on ourselves from now on." The U.S. will be shut out if this presidency continues and how can we regain entry? Even when Trump is gone, we've betrayed, belittled, and insulted them so much that it might take years to earn their trust again if we ever completely do. And if they do find a way to move on without us, we truly will become isolated, and even a superpower can't survive that way. I know that being an alarmist is not helpful and I'm not trying to be one, but I'm genuinely frightened about the international implications of Trump's madness.
the repugnicans are all on board with his plan to cancel/annul mid terms, and force a 1 party fascist state on america....in order that those same repugnicans will never have to account for their unpatriotic malfeasance and corruption...yes, while still claiming to be christians when they really mean satanists...
It is very sad to have this person represent our one proud nation. What an embarrassment that we all must bear because of him and his gullible supporters.
Yes, if all our allies overcome their laziness, their kneepads, their speaking to Trump as though he were an angry chimpanzee playing with the pin on a live hand grenade ("just put it down fella, nice banana for you here") I suppose they can push back on SOME of the malevolence and incoherent dementia he exhibits.
But it will come back tomorrow, one way or another. Not for the first, and not for the last time, when will these TINY, TINY, TINY cowardly Republicans who have hitched their star to his wake up and realize this is not going to end well -- for anybody?
The whole world knows this man is mentally and physically very, very sick. What's really disgusting and frightening is that the Republicans in Congress won't act to remove him. They are also very, very sick. Have they no courage? No, they do not. They too must be removed.
I don’t know if you still consider your a member of the GOP Adam, if so don’t be offended however the GOP House and Senate is 100% complicit in this mess. They (or even a small fraction of them) could put an end to this craziness! It was the republicans that told Nixon that he was done!
Trump makes accusations, I don't believe them but apparently many do, that are hollow with either no supporting facts or facts that don't add up. He keeps talking with authority - that's his genius - he is quoted, but the facts are incorrect (it's a sad fact about humans - weird).
The contrast between the brilliant speech given by Carney and the incoherent, ignorant drivel unleashed by Trump could not have been sharper. Truthfully, I’m rooting for Canada and other nations. We have brought this upon ourselves by our ignorant choice to put this boob back into power.
I didn't watch this but once again he managed to embarrass himself in front of many different countries. He truly is in mental decline, especially if he can't tell the difference between Iceland and Greenland. They are actually 2 different countries in different parts of the Northern Atlantic Ocean. I'm not surprised that he cleared the room either. People are not buying the Blah, Blah, Blah that he spews anymore because a lot of it is either lies or bull crap!
He is an embarrassment. He lies, thinks he’s above the law, doesn’t take care about this country except to make a fortune. Elections can’t come soon enough!
As one Senator said of another in the 1800’s “ He shines and stinks like rotten mackerel in moonlight.”
😂 True
I don’t think there will be elections in 2026. We need to find the answer before November.
I heard the same thing from his followers. Shows how really stupid they are.
NYT poll out today says 73% of Republicans think things are better now than a year ago. Stupid or racist, take your pick, perhaps both.
They’re lying thro their teeth.
Too embarrassed to admit their Emperor has no clothes!
IDK- I was shocked to find out my mild manners Physical Therapist said he voted for trump! We were talking about the stock market and I said it's because of trump's comments on Greenland. ‘Hidden biases’ covers a lot of bases.
Some people are born or induced into their ‘opinions’.
— don’t be ashamed of disagreeing with the ‘virtually blind’. 🦋

But the FELON made $10 billion in 2 days. He planned it and executed right under our noses. It is the MONEY.
Couldn't agree more. Follow the money.
the trumpaholics will NEVER become smart and aware...we must stop considering that option.

If only they would stop their "polite" clapping and just stand up and turn their backs on him. I believe that message would be much louder. Article 25, please.
Actually - to be RID of this entire administration - he needs to be IMPEACHED FOR TREASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hence, Article 25
I reread article 25 - seems to get it going, the VP must apply for it!
And then HE would not be gone! Am I missing something here?
My bad. Meant to say Amendment 25. But, hmmmmmmmm. Maybe a combination of Amendment 25 AND Article II?
tRUMP deserves to be heckled. He can dish it out but he sure can't take it. He's a delusional mess.
How about the middle finger? He used it recently 😂
Perhaps one could be made, like all the football teams have, and everyone could carry one at each pushback rally they attend!
I will respectfully puncture your balloon there, if I might.

I think another big motivation for his shift was the drop in the markets on Tuesday. That seems to be a big motivator for him.
That is the only thing he pays attention to except opinion polls showing declining support.

They (MAGA) still think he's the answer to their prayers.
They’re praying the wrong prayers then.
Bingo !
That’s what happens in a cult…
It's totally a cult ... otherwise, it makes no sense at all.
