I have a few family members on Medicaid and that’s just sick what the house just barely passed. Yes, let’s take taxes off of silencers and tanning beds and cut 500 billion from Medicare, 880 billion from Medicaid 230 billion from SNAP and other programs and give massive tax breaks to billionaires and millionaires who don’t pay taxes as it is with all the loop holes. We pay into SS and Medicare and pay taxes to supplement Medicaid and SNAP and other programs so after when you get to your golden years, you’ve got an income to supplement your retirement and for some, that is their retirement.

For example, deep within the bowels of his "big, beautiful bill" is a line that exempts the executive branch from contempt of court claims. That issue was settled by "Marbury v. Madison" in 1803. The Executive branch is subject to judicial review. Without that, we have a monarchy with a king.

Yes fortunately the Constitution is with standing the abuse that is being hurled at it. Now we the people need to embrace it, stand up, and use it to fight back.
Trump is also a criminal. Remember that he spoke of "no more elections" and "vote now and you won't have to again". He has already done away with the election oversight agencies and other safeguards. The 2024 election proved that the Republicans can cheat and hack any election in America. Perhaps that is Johnson's promise to the MAGA House members: you vote for what Trump wants and we won't let you get voted out.
Trump needs to end. The poisonous snake of MAGA must be chopped up into small pieces and done away with.

Thank you for the insight on the Twelfth Amendment. Trump quickly corrupted all three branches of government. SCOTUS enabled “immune corruption.” At some point SCOTUS may realize the monster they created is coming after them. They will issue an order he will ignore. They will attempt to have the DOJ enforce the order and will be met with refusal. At that point they will realize they have reduced themselves to a disrespected, perhaps despised, bunch of impotent silly robe wearing fools, and are nothing more than court jesters.
Trump does not feel constrained by the courts or the constitution. There is definitely going to be an attack on elections and an attempt to stop them. It’s really up to the masses to see past the lies and act to stop it. Elections, the vote and orderly succession must be demanded.

Sadly, I wish I could agree that the Constitution will hold. It's unraveling hanging on by threads now. The Founders that fought the tyrant King George III may never have DREAMED that the states would embrace and vote for one, let alone a felon and suspected conspirator of influencing an insurrection? Imagine their horror if we took them to see 47 on that day, a la Ghosts of History Past, and they saw the president sitting there, watching tv, perhaps even cheering them on like he was a king at the Colosseum. He received phone calls and visits from people trying to get his to stop the destruction! Did he smile when the crowd chanted about his own VP? I get chills each time I remember that day, wondering about his state of mind. Is he adhering to the Constitution now? No. Is he using his bully pulpit to get law firms and bend the knee and donate millions of dollars of fees (for legal protection?)? Yes. Is he taking advantage of all of our tax-paid resources to send out the loyalists, politicians or otherwise, to oppress those who dare to speak up? Yes. I pray that the Constitution holds and that We the People win out, but I am preparing myself in case this takes us to the brink of shredding our 250 years of history as though it never really mattered.

Kip...agree with your first sentence. Believe " running again" is a diversionary tactic by Miller et al to take your mind away from their real plans. Think a devolving minded trump equalling Charlie McCarthy...while Miller, et al pulling the strings as Edgar Bergen.....or Frank Morgan, the Wizard behind the curtain as The Wizard of Oz...At this point in time...trump 's mental acuity is patently diminished... but MAGA...the cause...must go on..albeit under different...but quieter leadership. TRUMP... the name brand..the visual ..the face...will remain on your TV screens...but behind the klieg lights...others will.be formulating the plans...making the decisions....pulling the puppet strings...life goes on.
