You mentioned not knowing the Trump lineage. His grandfather was a German immigrant draft dodger who came to the US and then Canada to avoid serving in the military in Germany. When he returned there after running a restaurant and brothel for gold miners during the Yukon gold rush, he was stripped of citizenship and ordered to leave so he came back to the US.
Plus, his grandfather, Frederick Trump, also used the Trump name, but the earlier family name was Drumpf which was changed to sound more Anglicanized as they moved to North America.
