The majority of the country has not abandoned Ukraine, it is only a shameless Trump and a spineless Congress who have abandon Ukraine. True defenders of democracy, I include you and I, here as well as abroad still support Ukraine and pray they can hold on until we neuter Trump and force the administration to provide support and aid to Ukraine beginning in January 2027.

sorry I missed you live Adam! I cannot stomach watching him tonight so I will be watching a movie or Hallmark Mysteries-lol. I heard he plans to 'speak' for up to 2 hours! Of course he does- to take up all the prime time hours and make the Democrat response come on late. What I do want to see is Abigail Spamberger and the Democrat response. So I will check back for a second every now and then, after an hour, until I see that is on.

A friend of mine just posted that he wasn't to watch the SOTU address. I responded by saying he was looking at it wrong. I was going to pop some popcorn and make a pitcher of my favorite adult beverage, and pretend I'm watching a Saturday Night Live sketch!
Ukrainians are heroic. Trump runs the country like its his private company. It is not his country it is ours and the republicans in congress are cowering. It is disgraceful and totally unpatriotic.
I will read the summaries in the news tomorrow just so I know, as a good citizen, what he said, but I will have an aneurysm if I watch and listen to that orange turd and the lickspittle Republicans who will cheer and applaud everything he says. We all know already that the content of his speech will consist of lies, inaccuracies, vitriol, and stupidity. Everything else is just details.
I really appreciate your steady sense of calm and words of encouragement to the American people (and the world). It was such a powerful reminder that each generation has had their trials to endure throughout the history of our country. How you show up here on Substack conveys hope (and is very Presidential 🇺🇸). You are on the right side of history and we the people are paying close attention to the current leaders fighting for our democracy. I am at the point that I am not looking at blue or red. I am listening to, utilizing critical thinking skills, and looking for decency, humanity, and strength of character and integrity. These are the qualities of a true leader. Would you consider using your time with us to discuss the 35,000 Ukrainian children that the Russians have kidnapped and are brainwashing against their own people and families? I learned just today that this kidnapping started six years before the war began. I think the American people would rally around that and insist that we end this war by supporting the Ukrainians over the Russians if we only knew what was happening to their poor babies.
