I am someone who has basically voted for the quality of the candidate vs. party.
I am ready for a moderate party that can accept more-like minded voters. I think we can limit the number of people who are extreme right or left by making the economic divide not as wide as the Grand Canyon! Simply get the top 1% to pay their fair share! I know! Easier said than done! However, when magas decrease in size and popularity, it would be easier to do because more will see trump's ilk's goal is more wealth!

You are correct. I misread the post I was responding to. I was not including the 'other' votes. I was referring to trump getting more votes than Harris- about 1.47% more. But it is somewhat hopeful that more people voted against trump. Too bad that 2,878 didn't see the importance of their vote. To me they basically gave their vote to trump.

I wrote her and got a lecture on the system of checks and balances and I told her that I was old enough to have taken Civics AND Government and had to take and pass a test on both so I was very aware that all that is now out the window. I stopped before telling her that she was gaslighting and should pay more attention. I will be interested to see if either of them do a town hall.

actually with regard to the voter results, more chose trump although it was less than 1% more.
I thought the number who voted for either Harris or someone else was greater than the number who voted for Trump.
