I actually talked about this today - about the allies around the world. The general mood in Ukraine toward the United States is one of mistrust. Those of us who have been following the history of Russian aggression AND how it was influenced by who was at the White House have been warning about this for some time: eventually, the world will come to understand they can't live from one US election to another. If US becomes a loose cannon as an ally (which it has), it will end up in isolation (already happening). So, while Ukraine's official stance toward the US is reasonably friendly, behind the scenes the mood is "let's move ahead with the EU and the UK and not count on the US. "

I am embarrassed to be called an American now and my heart breaks for the Ukraine people. I work two jobs and run multiple content streams, using the extra money to financially support my parents... who live in the war-torn Zaporizhzhya and cannot get out because there is nowhere to go and because Putin already said - if there is a caravan of vehicles heading out of any Ukrainian city, it will be treated as a military target, regardless of who is in it. So... I keep busting my a$$, working my job, publishing my books, covering the events in Ukraine for the public every day, getting hate and death threats for it, and hoping today is not the day my parents are murdered by the Russian orks. .... all the while wondering whether ICE my interrupt these activities, since I am a politically active naturalized US citizen and a Ukrainian American. Another day - another party....

I hope NATO countries in Europe can take the place of the United States as soon as possible. Maybe Great Britain or another country can provide intelligence. I hope Trump can be left out in the cold and out of the negotiations to leave him thinking about his own self importance. Now is not the time to give Russia time to regroup or anything else. Thank God the US has the constitutional policies holding Trump back somewhat from what he really wants. He should not have even qualified to run for the presidency. I have a feeling this minerals deal with Ukraine has something for Russia under the table, like financial assistance or lifting sanctions. Russia has to be at the end of its rope financially.
