I think some are Alex Jones & the like, some I am certain are Russian propaganda, but I read an article awhile back (I don't remember the source but it was credible) that really broke down & described what it was that Russia did to us in the 2016 election (it was an older article & they're still doing this to us btw). It went on to say that even candidates now, running in elections, will hire people to put out negative information about their opponents onto the Internet or just hire them to be trolls.
So, my thinking is that the attacks against George Soros were started by Republicans in office or supporters etc who hire people to put out content & the reason they go after George Soros is because, before Elon Musk, he was the largest campaign donor in every election. And he only donates to the Democratic party.
It was in 2022 when I found a NYT article (I believe) that listed off the top 10 campaign donors for the 2022 election. Soros was at the top & I believe (this might be wrong but I think) he doubled the amount of the next highest donor.
Now, out of those top 10 donors, there was Soros at number 1 & then Sam Bankman Freed (or however his last name is spelled) at number 5 and then there was like only 1 other on that list who donated to Democrats. The rest were GOP donors. But, of course, Soros is the largest donor by A LOT & I think it's honestly just power hungry & greed & that mentality of needing to "win" at any cost by the GOP that they attack him.
He's been the largest campaign donor for years, he always only donates to Democrats & the GOP just can't freaking stand it. So they message things about him to their base just try & bring him down. Punish him, so to speak, for donating to Democrats.

I think it's because Republicans have been systematically destroying public schools. Back in the 1970s I worked at The Rand Corporation, and one of the studies was about why so many students graduated from high school in Los Angeles without ever learning how to read. Since then, things have only gotten worse. By the time my kids were in school in the 1980s, classes that were mandatory for me were not even available to them as electives -- such as physiology so we would have some rudimentary understanding of how our bodies worked to religions of the world, so we could have some understanding and acceptance for those who come from different cultures. The purpose of education has degenerated from helping us to become a well-rounded and open-minded person to helping us getting a well-paid job.
We need to start a dialog that addresses this descent into madness that has control of the Republican party. Let's start discussing leaving BOTH parties and find a good leader for a Centist group that thinks of the United States and the morality first. Let's vote these despicable individuals out of office and bring sanity back to government.

I had sent it to several friends - left or right - as a confirmation that WWIII was not eminent. We had been avoiding any mention of political ideas ever since Kamala was chosen as the candidate instead of Biden. She became so angry at me daring to send her this short affirming video (I seriously do not think she even watched it!) that she just proceeded to attack me for what I believe. It is all so very sad. This "administration" and all the insane conspiracy believers are damaging our democracy - but I will not just sit back and shut up. Ever since I was around 8 years old and saw on TV that the Berlin wall was going up, I have had a fire in me to fight for what is right, and have done so my whole long life - diplomatically.
