Evil always comes up justifying their sins.

I cannot understand how a Donald Trump, a corrupt, impulsive, arrogant, ignorant, disorganised, nihilistic, self centred, rapist could have been elected as president. He has all bad qualities we teach our children not to have. Trump is the worst president the US has ever seen! He is personally responsible for the killing of Renée Nicole Good and Alex Pretti!

Janet's avatar

You forgot he’s also a pedophile!!!

True, and we must continually fight evil. Thankfully though, we know that “He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world.” 🛐

These are unprecedented times. Be LOUD 💔🤍💙

Use/share this spreadsheet (bit.ly/Goodtrouble) to contact members of Congress, the Cabinet and news organizations. Call. Write. Email. Protest. Unrelentingly.

Reach out (beyond your own) to as many in the Senate and House as you can. All of this is bigger than “I only represent my constituents” issues.

foosbeal's avatar

use your friends and families zip codes-ask them-or just call and say your piece as strongly as you can.

Megan Rothery's avatar

I use one of their own in state addresses (listed on my spreadsheet to help with this) on the address line because technically it doesn't say "my" address. I also don't want to misrepresent myself any more than that, so in my messages I typically put (at the bottom) that while I'm not a constituent, I am reaching out because (insert name) does represent me on the (insert committee that fits the topic my message is about).

Another thing I do is call after hours. I don't leave my name or address/zip code so my voice doesn't go towards a count, but the more they hear from us, the better.

I also send faxes using faxzero.com (5 free/day). I don't send a lot of letters, but when I do I put the same “while I’m not a constituent” blurb I do in my emails.

Anon's avatar

Megan - When I email the ones who do not represent me I usually use the address of the local postal building. I thought the same as you - because it doesn’t specifically ask for “my” address- but I need a local address to be able to send it to them. Even if they don’t necessarily Want to hear from me they Need to hear from as many people as possible. Thanks for your spreadsheet!

Janet Schultz's avatar

good advice Megan. I've taken to doing that as well. I just call after their office hours and leave a message.

Their twisted logic has no bounds. Every single one of those MAGA Nazis is missing the empathy gene.

Michelle Ponkutcat 060's avatar

Not only that, these poorly trained ICE goons are truly domestic terrorists.

Anon's avatar

Michelle - Absolutely! If you were to take what Miller, Bondi and Noem have said to describe what they claim is a domestic terrorist in their comments they are not describing the people currently expressing their outrage but they ARE describing their federal agents and their actions. It wasn’t too long ago that they not only celebrated Kyle Rittenhouse for shooting three people at a protest (I don’t believe he was legally allowed to have that weapon either) but they also rallied together to pay for his defense attorneys. They championed a boy who brought a gun to a rally and used the gun (2 dead, 1 wounded) but have now vilified a man who was old enough to legally purchase and carry said weapon but never removed it from its holster. So now the 2nd amendment is only for select few in their eyes. They just don’t see the hypocrisy in what they say. They claim that people are out there terrorizing people because they are carrying weapons but they were just fine when people stood at ballot boxes with weapons.

I still wonder if it was a misfire from wrongly handling his weapon once they removed it from him and that was the first shot heard which led to the rest of the shots being fired? One way to find out would be to watch the body camera footage that the government claims is now in their possession. Probably why they are refusing to release it and do a proper investigation with the local/state authorities. T and company have already given up the pretense of this being about fraud (the Biden administration was either in the process of investigating or had already taken it to court) because it has always been a matter of trying to illegally obtaining our records and he desperately wants to halt elections.

RRiveter's avatar

I wondered about that too. That agent who took Pretti's gun ran off real fast, between cars, when the other agents started to execute Pretti. I wondered whether that jamoke who took his gun let it discharge, then the rest of the goons thought the guy on the ground, who was completely helpless and subdued, had begun to shoot them. Total assholes, the lot of them.

Anon's avatar

RRiveter - It was either a misfire from that gun or one of their own since they were piled on top of Pretti. From their lack of training for the new recruits it wouldn’t surprise me.

GingerLee's avatar

Ellen Brown's avatar

We know what we see. Trump has trained his Administration using the tactics he learned from Roy Cohn—never apologize. Deny. Lie. Repeat. With Stephen Miller by his side, they attempt to manipulate and obfuscate. Maybe the best we have on our side are all the videos which contradict everything the Administration and ICE tried to project. 2 innocent people are dead. Those are facts we can see for ourselves. Maligning/blaming a dead man is disgusting and an insult to every American.

RRiveter's avatar

And the currently released video, showing presumably Pretti kicking and damaging an agent's car 11 days ago? So that gives them license to slaughter him??? Frankly, it really doesn't look like him, at least I think there are questions. And the gun nuts in Maga goes full contradiction and says him bringing a firearm was reason enough for the agents killing him. So let me get this straight: They can bring firearms to a church, a school, a protest, a military installation, etc, and that's ok. They can kill all they want with those firearms, and the world just scratches its collective heads. But if we bring one revolver to a non-violent protest, our homicides by the illegal goons are ok. Do I have this right?

Ellen Brown's avatar

My question is where/how/when does this end? We know how it ended for Europe in the 30s/40s despite the best efforts of Holocaust deniers.

Anon's avatar

Ellen - The government claims to be doing a big investigation but even though I am not a gambler I would bet big money that the only “investigation” they are doing is to find more ways to smear the victims and their families. The immigrant communities have been terrorized and the families pay the price. The ones illegally locked up and/or deported are paying the price. People trying to go through the system correctly are being denied to continue their path to citizenship and justice. People are losing their lives all so one small man (and his administration) can feel like a big man. It’s truly sickening. They are just upset that the tools they love to use against others are now being used against them and the truth is now out there instead of their narrative. Although we all know that they are lying when they open their mouths we also know that they were lying when they started talking even before any evidence/information was available from the situation that was still unfolding. My thanks goes to those who stayed to shoot videos when the agents decided to shoot guns instead.

Ellen Brown's avatar

This is exactly the point. The lies snowball and MAGA believes what they want. In AZ where I live, as in many other states, our Secretary of State Adrian Fontes has been asked to provide the DOJ voter rolls with information. Thankfully, he has refused as have others. This is illegal and setting the stage for the midterms to be tampered with. The unlawful actions are chilling.

Anon's avatar

Ellen - I am in Ohio and occasionally Governor DeWine has told the government “no” but our Sec. of State gladly handed over our information and bent down to kiss their hind end and asked them what else they could give them. I have repeatedly asked my representatives and senators just where My private information went and what they are doing with it. Of course I have never received a reply back. I pointed out that their actions are violating state and federal laws but they can’t be bothered with that. I am glad that your state is at least fighting the government’s overreach.

Ellen Brown's avatar

If we are capitulating to a tyrant, democracy is gone. This is an incredibly sad way to “celebrate” our 250th birthday. While the founders may have anticipated a President like Trump, they could never have anticipated HIM. I honestly thought better of DeWine.

Anon's avatar

Ellen - I am hoping that Ohio can shock the world by electing a female governor. If not…I don’t even want to think about being stuck with Ramaswamy. Having T in office during the 250th celebration is just plain wrong. He can’t bother with the little people (even the ones who elected him) by helping with their basic needs but he sure can hold a racing event and a UFC event while impatiently staring at his ballroom construction site.

Wait. Like, legit. This is AI video, right? This is a fabrication? You're correct. Even if this video is real AND is actually of Pretti, it STILL doesn't justify executing him. But again, AI right?

lotsacatsndogs's avatar

He's wearing EXACTLY the same clothes as the day he died, a friend pointed out, and taillights aren't supposed to be easy to kick out, are they?

Amy Fink's avatar

This was my thought, too! Are we sure it was real footage and not something generated by their team to try to make it something it wasn't?

MargaretT's avatar

I wondered the same thing. We do not have a full view of the person's face. How much force does it take to kick and shatter thick glass of an entire tail light? Regardless, there are ZERO justifications for brutally annihilating him!

Fraser's avatar

But remember his sister said he had a broken rib from a problem with ice a week or 2 ago-maybe that is what upset him and they left that out!! Didn't the video come from Maga?

Randy's avatar

Based on MAGA opinion, then Jan 6th rioters have what is coming to them as well! They damaged out capital, threatened lawmakers and carried guns! MAGA truly are a bunch of brainless idiots!

Byron B. Carrier's avatar

Had it coming, but didn't get it. Had they been shot, you know they'd be heralded as martyrs.

Nor should ICE agents be injured or shot, despite how much some of them deserve it. Trouble is, they'd then be martyrs and an excuse to deploy martial law to magnify this horrific attack on our own cities and citizens.

Witness how Charlie Kirk was killed, made a martyr, and propelled his Turning Point forward under the "grieving" widow. I guess we should just ignore how his changing stance towards Israel may have contributed to that tragedy.

Anon's avatar

Byron - One was shot during J6 and she was made a martyr. While the White House continues to whitewash what happened and now T is blaming the officers instead. Some of those officers are no longer here and they are the ones who should be remembered - along with the others who are still alive today.

Chaps my a*s that they lowered flags and made such a big deal out of Kirk but they couldn’t even do the same for the congresswoman and her husband who were assassinated by one of his supporters. They want to give him a national holiday while they remove any mention of people of color (basically anyone who is not white and male at this point). As well as all of the rest who have lost their jobs because they made comments about Kirk. This administration did the same thing about others who don’t have an R behind their names but in their minds it’s okay.

Byron B. Carrier's avatar

I've received online flak for saying even ICE agents are persons. My anger at what they do shouldn't be vented on anyone there. They're following orders, perhaps assuming they're being patriotic by chasing the "worst of the worst," even though some 80% are merely undocumented immigrants.

Taunting and riling the protesters may be the exact agenda of those in charge. Those in charge deserve our ire far more than the minions they've hired.

If Americans were to realize how huge and expensive Trump's private police force is, perhaps they'd object more.

I'm trying to write to it. Unfinished, but available: https://www.earthlyreligion.com/good/.

Byron B. Carrier's avatar

The horrific story of the murder of Milissa and Mark Hortman received no flags at half mast and was quickly avoided in the media sullies both Trump and our media.

Similarly avoided is a telling of how many child molesters and drunk drivers there are among the insurrectionists since being pardoned by Trump. How many have joined ICE? The growing threat of such news is "covered" by the news.

Anon's avatar

Byron - While I am sorry that you received flak for stating your opinion I also have gotten a great deal of criticism from people when I tell them that I was in law enforcement prior to having to leave on disability. What was once a “noble” profession is now a profession that is very much hated. I tried hard to do a good and fair job for the people and city because I believed all deserved it. They were worthy of being treated well and to be protected. But I am darn sure that I would have quit if I was given orders that go against the law and my training. Even if that would have jeopardized my $50,000 hiring bonus. These federal agents are being pulled from jobs that had nothing to do with what they are being told to do now. There is no planning being done and they are being lied to as to what is the actual law. This administration has abandoned the cases that some of the agents were working on just so Miller could reach some fantasy quota. Out the window went any investigations into child/human trafficking, the people who actually committed felonies, drug trafficking, etc. Their training has been cut considerably and the new hires are being put into the field too soon. You are correct that the ones who hold the blame starts from the top down but I am curious what their hiring practices/process looks like now. Not sure what background checks they are doing and I have read that some people are being removed mid training because they finally got background information that even the agency doesn’t want. They aren’t removing the “worst of the worst” from our communities but it sure seems like they are hiring the “worst of the worst” and destroying the profession. It was recently reported (I think it was either Mother Jones or NewRepublic) that there are a number of agents that have been violating CSAM or outright violating women/children. I just read about it in the last week or so and it makes my blood both boil and run cold.

I think that you are right about the agents main goal might be to rile the crowds enough so the administration can declare martial law and/or the Insurrection Act. T desperately does not want the election to happen. Thank you for the link that you provided!

Great comments, Anon. I also respect the police. They have hard jobs to do and mostly do them well. Your comments should be read by them and the ICE agents.

Thanks for the compliment on my essay. I updated it over the last couple of days, and it goes out to my few subscribers at midnight. You might like the improvements. You're welcome to comment there and even subscribe if you like.

His murder DEFINITELY wasn’t just by some random guy. Look at Kirk’s bodyguard’s unusual movements (standing right behind him). It’s a blatant signal and the kill shot comes immediately.

Byron B. Carrier's avatar

Feasible. The Israeli connection needs to be unpacked more. His power at Turning Point highlighted his openness to criticism of Gaza, etc. The direction his widow is taking it also makes me wonder.

Where’s the proof it’s even Pretti? Where’s the proof the video wasn’t doctored up?

That doesn't make a difference. It hasn't to do with his being murdered days later under different circumstances.

Just that CBP targeted him and the assassination was premeditated

Kerryanne911's avatar

I'm not even sure if this new video is real or AI. He's wearing the exact same clothes. No other witnesses or videos, just the ICE agent who was apparently the only one getting his "attack" on video. And this regime is heavily invested in AI and using it to gaslight.

I thought the same when I saw the same clothes. He was probably working at the VA ICU at the time. SHAME!

We don’t execute people in this country for breaking a tail light. At least until now. The two fold mission of ICE is to create chaos in States that don’t like Trump, while expelling undocumented people. That’s the reason for the huge budget. Thousands of people in Minnesota have refused to accept this ICE as normal. They are true Americans.

Wendy C Johnson's avatar

It didn't happen. We don't need to make excuses because it is a lie. A waste of time.
