I should have bought more popcorn. I’m hoping this is going to be the start of a downfall.

Double-A's avatar

Anyone who lived in NYC during the 70s-90s saw this show play out over and over. Backstabbing is all they know.

Tara's avatar

As one who watched some of it way up close in the 70’s, that gets a hearty “YUP!”

Yep DJT is a disease he touches it dies! Even has to buy his women always has always will.

What I find so disturbing is these sickening Republicans attacking Biden all to reverse Biden’s Pardons it’s killing Comer & Johnson why? So they can spend millions on fake investigations again! This has become a cycle of do nothing Committee wasting Taxpayers money. Is it. DJT is spewing what wrong with himself is all.

Question Musk leaf now beefing or is this just window dressing to help Musk businesses? Remember their both extremely manipulative one filled with drugs the other mentally declining that should be in WH. MAGA voters are getting mad at their Jesus because they can’t find criminals so they’re going after women, children in very red states. Now saying they didn’t vote for this after arrest a mom, fellow churches member that’s been in community for 20yr. What the hell MAGA voter need to learn about who they vote for not believing REPUBLICANS lies. Iam sick of all the Republicans liars. In Senate they all say their against DJT SICKENING BILL bet they vote for it. They seem to have no spines most are cowards

Democrats must raise up speak out tell all Americans the parts in this bill that will affect them all keep repeating it.

The "Biden investigation" is like everything else in the reign of terror. Created to turn attention away from what is actually happening. Smoke and mirrors to detract from the sickness and mind implosion of "the King".

That is it in a nutshell. trump always blames someone else. trump has never once taken responsibility for any of his mistakes. I would rather they fight it out because then we might find out about criminal activity by each of them. Then we could have them arrested and prosecuted.

I HOPE the Dems are listening, Adam!

Kay G's avatar

I hope the Dems are just listening and watching. This fight between Elon and Trump reminds me of when Wagner Group head Prigozhin turned on Putin. Interesting to watch. Both were despicable people and the outcome was pretty much assured. Let them wound each other.

I'm looking forward to the day when our daily lives are not diverted to the dramas of idiotic oligarchs. We're supposed to be government of the people, meaning basically Article 1, Congress.

Not a couple of billionare idiots who managed to weasel themselves into power.

Truly Trying's avatar

Oh not embracing Elon! Just two disgusting narcissists who partnered up, told each other too much and are now breaking up. I’m popping my popcorn now!!

Stuyvesant Bearns's avatar

Don't forget the champagne to go with that popcorn !

Lucille Sanchez-corea's avatar

I think it’s a little early for champagne but I have it on ice 🧊

DamnFineHaggis's avatar

Definitely don't embrace him, but egg him on! Who knows what might come out! Proof of election-tampering, perhaps? I am waiting breathless.....with antici.......pation! (For all you Rocky Horror Gen Xers out there! 😉)

Sheila McGrath's avatar

Not necessarily embrace him but I keep thinking of the saying, “ keep your enemies closer”.

I used to go to the RHPS midnight show in NYC at the movie theatre near Carnegie Hall when I was in HS in the late ‘70s. Audience participation was half the fun.

Rebekah Fetzer's avatar

The "Minecraft Movie" is today's version of "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Kids want to watch it over and over and over and sing the songs and say the lines during the show. Just in case you haven't taken your grandchildren!

Julie Shippey's avatar

I still have no sympathy for either one. However, I hope this playground tantrum brings to light information that could possibly get one or both in to some hot 💩💩💩!! Hopefully, they will take each other down!

Adam, I was online with Michael Cohen, Lev Parnas and Malcolm Nance when all this went down. One saw the crack and was hopeful while another thought that the outcome might not be good for anyone, especially Elon. The underlying thought is that we have to take hold of the moment, get out there June 14th for protests (and other protests, like the Vets one this Saturday), contact Congress and Senators, and someone said she actually called Columbia and told them not to fold! Let's do all we can, guys, to take advantage of a weak moment. From your lips to Dems' ears!

LGH's avatar

As an alum of Columbia Teachers College for grad school, I have been writing the interim president weekly noting my disgusted disappointment at how they have caved (and will continue to have to), encouraging her to stand strong and take the model of resistance from several of the other Ivies. Until then, I have ceased wearing my gear I used to wear with such pride and more importantly, no donations until they stand up for democracy.

Karen Dennis's avatar

Which Democrats are trying to get on Elon Musk's side? I'd like specific names. This is not a good move no matter how you look at it.

Nana's avatar

NO that’s crazy both are CONS AND Manipulative. This could all be some sort of show just to get his prices up on Tesla. Don’t think he’s doing this without a purpose.

Jay Jay Eh's avatar

All it wd take in today’s environ is 2 Dems and OFF to the races / off with their heads! 🙄

Donna's avatar

Democrats should stay as far away from Musk as possible. It would not be a good look if they said anything about him, other than chuckle at the fight. Right now, stay away. Who knows what else will come out of this little feud.

Dlb1962's avatar

Let them destroy each other .

Mamma taught me never to argue with an undermedicated psychotic. She never told me what to do when confronted by two of them.

Dan Kane's avatar

Mamma told me if I ever raised a hand to her, she would (1) forget we were related, (2) fight back, and (3) fight dirty. Any object used for self-defense would do. She was a feisty Republican ♀️ ...odd that she would verbalize that, though, since the idea of striking my mother would never occur to me, but maybe she just wanted to make sure I knew ahead of time! 😁 (I loved my mother dearly, all her life.). Perhaps, speak softly and carry a real big stick. Unmedicated psychotics occasionally have visions and hear voices. On the bright side, they often get 302'd, since they often reek of psychosis!

Thanks for the post. There has been criticism - some very justified given Musk’s past behavior - of the Democrats using the pushback from Musk as a lightning rod to draw on-the-fence republicans (RINOs primarily) to the Democratic side. What’s missing for me in that isn’t about Musk, it’s about the lack of simple, easily understood, and wide-tent policies that are easily embraced by a majority of voters. Using Musk is fine - he’s not an ideological weapon, he’s an off-ramp for those angry they wasted their vote for Trump in 2024. I say get the simple policy going (like YES, we can make gov’t more efficient BUT have to do it in a methodical, non-blast way) and welcome people who voted for Trump in ‘24. Right now it’s democracy on the line, not intra-party political posturing.

And on that last point, anyone who can blow up the Democratic Party’s stranglehold on its entrenched, old leadership and get younger, more energetic, more focused leaders in there is fine by me. Great post - thanks!

Musk and Trump deserve each other. We don't "deserve" either one. For the love of god, I just want competent people in charge again. Boring even would be fine with me! (But boring that is decent; not boring and evil like Vance, Thiel, Yarvin, Vought, etc. I'm fearful that's the actual game plan.)

Sal Teodoro's avatar

Elon Musk just said he’s pulling one of his space ships out and called for Trumps impeachment. 😂🤣

Pat Thornton's avatar

I see the Musk Trump cat fight as only a distraction.

The media is focused and reporting this while Russell Vought, has become the

new head of DOGE. This is his new power to accelerate his destructive activities laser focused on tearing apart our Constitutional government of laws and replacing it with his version of a Christian Nationalist government. Vought has been very up front about his agenda as principal architect of Project 2025.

Very accurate. Time will tell.
