Hi Adam.

My question is: Are you considering running for President either in 2028 or possibly further into the future? ( PS: I'd vote for you and I am a Democrat!)

Linda Woodard's avatar

I was wondering this as well, but also, since I am an Independent and vote for the person needed at the time and not the Party, would you consider, if it's even feasible, to be on the Presidental ticket with a Democrat as these are strange times, and we have to "think out of the box" regarding these next elections, putting COUNTRY over Party if we are to survive as a Constitutional Republic.

You've got my vote Adam! You're experience in the military and congress is exceptional. You're level headed and intelligent and you're young! We need young thinkers who love the U.S. and our Constitution and who will fight for the people!

WildKnitter's avatar

Yeah, me too! You'd be an awesome choice!

Ryal's avatar

Agree! Though I loved Biden’s history, it’s time for a new generation to take over.

MelissaL's avatar

Ditto! You have an entire army of people here ready to get to work on your campaign! 😁

I'm concerned about a few right-wing billionaires owning all the mainstream media. What just happened with 60 Minutes felt like the last straw. Do you see a solution, and if so, what would it be?

Meg Metcalf's avatar

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this as well.

If you had to choose a candidate for president and vice president who could potentially take on the repair needed once Trump is no longer in office, who would pick? And what specifically about those people do you think could mend and rebuild our country after such devastation?

CJ's avatar

Yes, I would like to hear your answer on a potential candidate for president and vice president that could repair what's been done to destroy the democracy so far.

I would like to ask you how we can best direct our activism to defeat this horrible regime in 2026. Where can we contribute? What will you be doing in 2026? Thank you for being here for all of us this year. It’s been a rough ride, for sure, but I think we have learned a few things along the way. I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

Citizens are concerned about the allegiance of the US military. Might you and some of your veteran fellows (Pete Buttigieg, Mark Kelly for instance) implore the veterans organizations (VFW et al) to make a public declaration that they and their members pledge allegiance only to the US constitution and not to political figures? These organizations can’t be persecuted like active duty soldiers, and seeing such statements from these organizations would give citizens and soldiers greater confidence.

Terry Westby's avatar

It would be reassuring to know that there is a solid force within the military community that supports the constitution and won't be swayed by the administration's manipulations of rules of law and engagement to get them to make war against civilians.

Adam- Given the amount of unprecedented actions—FCC no longer independent, purely political indictments, arrests by ICE of citizens, and the list goes on and on—if a Democrat wins in 2028, will it be possible to undo so much of what has been done since so much of it is unconstitutional?

Mari Wilson's avatar

Yes. And the SCOTUS 6 MUST be impeached and removed.

Dave Hyem's avatar

Hi Adam - do you think there will be a point where republican members of congress will distance themselves from Trump as he becomes more outrageous and unpopular with everyday Americans? It feels like we are beginning to see some signs of that.

Celia Leventhal's avatar

And then what? Will they actually vote to undo the harm? Impeach or whatever it takes to remove cruel lunatics like Pete Hegseth from the federal payroll?

Anne J.'s avatar

I doubt it. The vast majority are fine with it. The rest are profiles in cowardice.

I don’t have a lot of questions but most of all, I wanted to say thank you for standing up for the truth. I read your book “Renegade” and know some of the decisions you have had to make have not been easy. Thank you and hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Do you think Trump (or his replacement should he not fulfill his term) will do a blanket pardon of his cabinet so they can’t be held accountable for any illegal

things they’ve done (or will do) before he leaves office?

Michele Elder's avatar

I absolutely think it will be his final FU to the Dems. But remember, that's a *federal* pardon only, and there is PLENTY that everyone in this administration has done on the *state* level that they can and will be held accountable for despite their presidential pardon. 😏

Jean's avatar

There’s also international laws (war crimes) that could be brought up on some of the admin…I just hope they don’t get off scott-free. 😡

Michele Elder's avatar

I am chomping at the bit for the United Nations and International Criminal Court to open a HUGE can of whup-ass on the entire administration!!

Jean's avatar

I second that sentiment!!

Adam, as retired military, I am deeply concerned about the actions happening now involving Venezuela. What will happen if Trump declares war WITHOUT Congress approval?

Professor Mac's avatar

Adam, you have been out there, serving in uniform. Time on the pond as we say in the Navy. You have also put a decade of your life serving in Congress. And most importantly of all, you are a father and family man. All of this gives you a unique perspective.

So what does your gut tell you right now, about our nation?

Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Kristie's avatar

Adam, is there any chance at all that Trump will be removed from office before his term is over? He is physically and mentally unfit for office besides all the other numerous illegal bullshit he and his regime have done.

Janet Mallon's avatar

And if/when he leaves before his term is up, Vance is no better than (unless he’s faking for his boss.) How can we right the wrongs and get our government back to abiding by ALL LAWS?

Mari Wilson's avatar

By impeaching and removing the SCOTUS 6.

Jaemy Steinke's avatar

NOT A QUESTION. A COMMENT THO: I'VE TRUSTED YOU SINCE FIRST SEEN ON JAN 6TH; MY GRATITUDE ABOUNDS. BLESSINGS FROM Him and me.

Barbara Rohmer's avatar

Vance basically stated that the country should be white and Christian. Will that finally turn off some voters?

Michelle Jordan's avatar

It's far too late for this country to ever be white and Christian, so all that insane opinion can do is incite the ignorant to violence. I would hope it has the potential to turn off a whole lot of voters. Including his own wife.

I don’t have a question, but thought you might enjoy knowing that ‘The Last Republican’ struck home with my MAGA neighbor, who I invited to watch it with me yesterday. I was a bit surprised that she agreed to watch your documentary with me when I told her what it was about, but she said she was curious because she didn’t know much about Jan 6th, and hadn’t watched any of the televised committee hearings because she thought it was all fake. She and her late husband only watched Faux, and I don’t believe that changed after he passed away.

You could see the surprise and shock on her face watching the actual testimony shown in your documentary. Afterwards, she thanked me for inviting her to watch it, and said that she admires your bravery and commitment to our country, and feels betrayed by the GOP. One down, only a few more million to go! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

What are the top 10 things that the Democrats need to do after they take control of the House and Senate. At the moment this is a wish list.
