Signalgate might be worse than Watergate. Heads should roll.

John/ Bring It On 🤠🌵🪖's avatar

Didn't take long for them to screw up something in National Security. Not one of those inexperienced people had the sense to look and see who was on the chat. Were in worse shape then I thought. Which department is next? Healthcare maybe! Longest 2 years Ah, 2 months of my life. Fight on!!!

Nola Fingmatter's avatar

Thanks for sharing! Didn't know about the March 29 one. April 5th info is also available from something called Hands Off - handsoff2025.com for anyone looking for protests coming up.

Laura's avatar

Very helpful links. Thank you.

Rubeus Leclerc's avatar

everything with krasnov is worse than watergate - 1/6 should have been the end of it

Grace Hughes's avatar

Of course heads should roll, but nothing will happen.

Cathy Lynn's avatar

this is a massive big deal...and it appears the Trump tower of toothpicks is burning down from within!

Jean Haynes's avatar

They don't even think they did anything wrong. 🙄🫣😒 MAGA/Fox Faux News is more upset about a reporter they hate being in the chat. I wouldn't expect anything less.

Paul Olmsted's avatar

I would not be surprised if t-Rump awarded

the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the

“ Heads “ in charge of this fiasco. And , will

his enablers in congress get away with shifting the blame to Jeffrey Goldberg - or maybe

it was a space laser that interfered with

the signal - to Signal ?

Ian Mark Sirota's avatar

Won't happen with this Administration.

Thanks for continuing to post this information, John. The repetition is really important.

Chad Spector's avatar

You sound impotent as fuck.

Marty Smith's avatar

I would hardly call the trump admin and gop/magats - public servants - public dis-servants. Therefore, traitors to the Constitution.

Bob Davis's avatar

There's no one in the current administration I would trust.

Carol Shad's avatar

You’re the best!! I so enjoy all your videos and musings because you know what you’re talking about, and you tell it like it is. Thank you for all you do, you are so much appreciated, Adam!!

Carol Shad's avatar

Also, Tulsi was being so evasive and actually deceitful with her answers. She is inept and a sham in her position, and needs to be replaced!!

Robin Gilinger's avatar

They all need to be replaced.

Patricia Mei's avatar

All of them were lying UNDER OATH! It is a complete disgrace

Richard Breining's avatar

Was it me or did she have a worried look on her face?

I Resist's avatar

Walsh, Gabbard and Hegseth should resign and be prosecuted for a serious breach of security that could easily put US military personnel and aircraft at risk! Signal has been hacked by Russia and likely other enemies. Total disregard for defense security protocol. These people have no clue what they are doing. Then they lie that it was Goldberg’s fault as if he did the texting and Trump, as always, doubles down and backs them! Ship of fools. Total amateurs,

I Resist's avatar

And incompetents!🌚

Janis Tester's avatar

Anyone that has had a clearance knows this was classified information.

Cat: Poli-Psych's avatar

I’ve never had clearance and I know clear as day this is a cover up… and no one is talking about how deeply this implies. We are in with Russia. This aspect is pissing me off.

Debra's avatar

It is all the lies and cover up along with attacking the journalist for being the only Patriot in this whole mess

Greg's avatar

Thanks so much, Adam! Will any of the individuals involved be held in contempt of Congress for lying under oath? They all lied during their confirmations, they're lying now, and it seems all they do is lie!

When did our US Congress become so weak-kneed? It's disgusting.

Stephanie Fagin-Jones, Ph.D.'s avatar

As egregious as the Signal chat intelligence failure is, the lies are even worse, and the silence about the lies are by far the worst danger to our country and the world.

MJean's avatar

The lies, the lies, the new leadership in the USA has elevated itself to a new low, beginning with the orange maggot. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Scoopie's avatar

Why they continue to obfuscate is baffling. Apologize quickly and be determined to improve, or do us all a favor and resign!

Richard Breining's avatar

At this point, after at least 2 days of Denial and Deflection, ther is no Defense available. They all need to be held accountable!

JF's avatar

Also, Fox News didn’t even mention the security breach for several hours after it was public.

Richard Breining's avatar

Just what you'd expect from an extreme far right wing mouthpiece of lies and misinformation, making them totally unworthy of referring to themselves as a "news" organization!

JF's avatar

In testimony during the big lawsuit with Dominion voting machines, Fox presented itself as an “entertainment” entity, and submitted that nobody should take them seriously. The percentage of Fox viewers who know this detail? Surely less than 1%.

Lucille Sanchez-corea's avatar

No they had to get their lies together first

JF's avatar

But they should be so good at that now! It’s a reflex for Fox to lie. But seriously, I think you are right. The first thing they probably did was call an Emergency Spin Meeting.

Richard Breining's avatar

In the Oval Office of the White House.

JF's avatar

They really are “State TV”.

Trixie Becker's avatar

Yes, I've taken to calling them the outlaw state reprobates.

Nola Fingmatter's avatar

Fox News is absolutely despicable.

JF's avatar

One could say they are traitors. Maybe we shouldn’t let “foreigners” have so much power? Oh never mind; their skin passes the filter.

Marty Smith's avatar

As Gomer Pyle would say: "Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

Even he would have known better.

JF's avatar

We need to bring back Gomer Pyle! Recall him to active duty.

Jim Taylor's avatar

I'm not even as pissed about the fact they were using an OTC app for this- it's why. And as JVL of the Bulwark pointed out, it was because with Signal, there's a timer on how long the conversation is searchable. After that time has elapsed- IT DISAPPEARS. IT NEVER HAPPENED. My guess is these a@@holes use Signal for that reason- "mission deniability". And have used it so much and so often the idea of using their personal phones (!!!) for classified communications didn't even hit the "shouldn't be doing this with this" button. These communications are supposed to be transcribed and archived- with Signal they cannot and will not be. And that friends, is the whole idea.

Pamela Wing's avatar

When you are committing crimes against your country and it's Constitution you certainly do NOT want a record. It's ALL about deniability. Just wow, it truly IS an whole new world thanks to an orange POS, 34 count convicted felon, and the vile people who encircle him. The ARE affecting the entire world order. IF the Dems can pick up seats next year we can start to maybe calm things down a little, but it will never be the same.

Marty Smith's avatar

Plausible Deniability - where have we heard that before? 1973. A little event called Watergate.

Laura's avatar

Yes! That is part of what Timothy Snyder is focused on in his substack essay today - that the disappearing message feature may be the point of using it and it may have been used in untold numbers of other situations. Thereby as you are saying, preventing transcription and, importantly, the availability of records for review, challenge, redress of situations. Yes that's the whole idea.

JF's avatar

Who would sign up to serve in the military, under this administration, and going forward? Already they are way short of recruitment goals. The draft will return.

Trixie Becker's avatar

And the draft is mentioned in Project 2025, the language is disguised, but it is there.

JF's avatar

I didn’t know that. I’ve been learning about Project 2025 mostly via reporting. Wow. Unlike during the Vietnam era, when college students got deferments, I expect this anti-intellectual cabal would draft college students first. Whatever hurts the future of the country is what they will do. Have to keep Putin happy. I wish that was conspiracy thinking, but these days reality = conspiracies.

Mary T's avatar

Unfortunately, integrity doesn’t seem to be a “thing” anymore.

Cat: Poli-Psych's avatar

Using an app THEY KNOW RUSSIANS HACKED… IN RUSSIA… screams that they are in league with Russia —Period. Concrete evidence

Richard Breining's avatar

Or at least complete stupidity!

Joyce B's avatar

... and arrogance.

Cw's avatar

100% agree. This is the American version of the Vichy government from WWII.

Cat: Poli-Psych's avatar

Right?👍❤️🇺🇸

Nancy Stock's avatar

I saw in comments on another post that these apps are purposely being used so there is no record of what was done. I highly doubt this is the first time they've used this app. It won't be the last.

Richard Breining's avatar

One Representative this morning asked who else in the administration is regularly using Signal. saying "where there's smoke, there's fire".

Rebecca's avatar

Houthi PC group sort of narrows the scope of where to anticipate the operation.

Richard Breining's avatar

House where the target's girlfriend lives narrows it even further!

Paul Goshi's avatar

Glad you're staying on top of this and addressing the security concerns and the misinformation. The amount of kitchen sink damage control spin out there from the right on this subject is unreal.

Paul Goshi's avatar

I admire him. Maybe some of his virtues will rub off on me one day. :)

Steve Beckwith's avatar

Your straightforward plain-spokeness is so refreshing and such a valuable thing for the cause of freedom. It's a huge contrast to the usual euphemistic, hedging language we usually get.
