My problem is the cost. I live on the fixed- and soon to be nixed - income of Social Security. Getting the news from reliable sources has become very expensive. I have to choose between Substack and donating to my favorite charities/politicians. Lately I've been canceling paid Substacks where the only advantage is the ability to comment.
Ss, podcasts and other paid, mostly opinion sources is also very silo-ed. They are not done by reporters and are not fact-checked etc. I think traditional sources are still the best for getting straight news. But it's important to use several news sources to really get the straight facts. I feel like this format is great for finding like minded people, following someone you admire or a topic you're interested in and also a way to organize.
1. Protest till the cows come home, look for protest in your area, then show up!!!!
2. Boycott as many companies as you can that are supporting the Fascist Party through their political donations. Never buy a Tesla, stop using X/Twitter for starters. I have a updated list of companies in this episode. Use https://www.goodsuniteus.com/ to make your own list.
3. E-mail/message any Republican Senator or Congressman that you think has a resemblance of a backbone and tell him how you feel about these important issues.
4. If you can afford it donate to the organizations that are doing the legal fights.

The dates may vary for each state and the weather has to be a consideration. These Representatives need to march with the people and show a sign of unity. Sitting around and voting yes or no is not going to cut it right now. The impact could be tremendous.

Yes it appears they have been bought out. I stopped watching Fox years ago Trump 2016. Then last year I stopped watching CNN except for a couple like Acosta. I do like Fareed also. I canceled WaPO and LA Times, reduced my Amazon orders. I use X and FB mostly to make noise. To get the public to see real information.

I should be getting my Social Security retirement benefits next week per usual and I’m a bit worried their interference may break the system. But with the many smart and creative lawyers working to stop the spread of damage and destruction, I hope that a creative legal mind could find a way to neutralize Musk. I make a distinction between loyalty and blind loyalty. Loyalty is ok. Blind loyalty is not.
Loyalty means you look out for the best interests of whatever or whoever you’re loyal to, including pointing out mistakes, flaws, blind spots, etc.
But a federal government that demands blind loyalty, acceptance without discussion, is weak and unsustainable.

What should happen is that the information that Musksputin has obtained from Treasury, OMB, USAID, etc… should be seized and Musksputin and the Kids should be questioned and charged!!
The information that Musksputin has taken is our information, Social Security Numbers, Tax information, Health information, oh what would a Pharmaceutical Co pay, or a Foreign Country pay just for a small piece of our Data!!!
