Oh Adam, I don’t know what to say. There is clearly no rock bottom. May you Liz and your families stay safe!

Adam Kinzinger's avatar

Thank you. Its insane

Darrell Smith's avatar

He has said that he hates Taylor Swift. Would he put her in front of a firing squad? What about you and I since we oppose him and voted for Harris?

When is enough, enough? Where is the Department of Justice? Why is he allowed to threaten each and everyone of us? Doesn't it qualify as elder abuse to drag older people through a constant psychodrama? How is this "enemy within" America allowed to run for President again?

Adam Kinzinger's avatar

amen. And lets root for your birthday to be doubly good

Cindy Marshall's avatar

Darrell, I've been praying that your 73rd birthday brings you your wish on election day of a trump shallacking!!

Disgusting and actually shocking. Not that he said it but that it’s being twisted and defended by tow the party line Republicans. A comedienne made a very crude and unforgivable distasteful “joke” about DJT several years ago and it basically ended her career. This is so much worse coming from the possible leader of the free world. Please people think this through and vote for a future we have some control over through the democratic process. I don’t want to live in Hungary, China, Russia or North Korea. I live in the greatest country on Earth. It has been for 248 years and always will be if the American people stay true to the principles that got us this far.

I can only think of one person who has that demented man's ear and that's Stephen Miller. Granted,Trump comes up with a lot of this shit on his own but Stephen Miller has always been the imp in trumps ear. He's the architect of fascist insanity. There are others but I always see Miller lurking in the background of what's left of trumps brain.

Pamela Wing's avatar

Hey, be happy, Steve Bannon is back, and THAT is an incredibly dangerous man. Whoopie!!!!!

Thomas Harley's avatar

Yes. Jim Jones was dangerous too but only 912 people drank the Kool-are. There were survivors and others that realized that it was wrong. I’m not much of a prayer, but I’m all but walking around with Rosary Beads until we hear all is quiet in the D.C. front. I pray that a significant number of voters change their minds and resoundingly elect Harris/Walz.

Joelle Greig's avatar

That guy's just a tool. Even Trump would get fed up with him back when he occupied the WH.

Joelle Greig's avatar

Stephen Miller is the doppelganger to Himmler. Himmler was the architect for the genocide of anyone who (political) opposed Hitler, the Jewish people, gypsies, the disabled, Blacks and a number of other "classes" of people. Miller is definitely the one to watch out for. That guy is just plain evil.

I'll raise you Donnie's total immunity and WITH that the ability to pardon any of those creeps for anything THEY do!!!!!! Are we feeling better now? OY.

If anyone else had made those statements, they would be paid a visit from the FBI, yet it was barely a blip on the MSM news cycle. That’s what worries me the most. They have sane-washed his vitriol for far too long, allowing him and his cult to go lower and lower. I appreciate your courage and the courage of Liz Cheney and so many more who are willing to stand up for our country and not “obey in advance” to a fascist dictator.

Janine's avatar

A threat against Liz Cheney is a threat against us all

Joelle Greig's avatar

Yep, because if they can start with one and get away with it, you know they'll keep going until they're satisfied. That's why I've come to truly despise our justice system. I don't know how Jack Smith has hung in there all this time. You know he's got to be another target. I REALLY like him; he's very tenacious and won't let go, won't give up. Thank God for him.

Janine's avatar

I hope Jack Smith is the next AG

As history shows - many of those who think they are safe from the tyrant ultimately end up on the wrong side of that gun barrel. Remember- the tyrant ultimately only cares about you if you are useful… and only as long.

Thank you for your post today Adam..I’m keeping all of the sensible Republicans who know better by helping Kamala with her campaign in my thoughts and prayers!!!TRUMPIE and his MAGA cult clan love to threaten those of us who know better-we don’t want them anywhere near the White House!!!!!Keep up the great work that all of you are doing!!!

Beyond horrific, Adam. A line crossed that cannot be uncrossed. It is not in my faith nor in my own conscience, but I have had it. I say to the fascist grotesque, with feeling, may you reap what you and your morbidly rich sponsors and fellow travelers have sown, you disgusting pile of protoplasm. We have to win next week. Whatever it takes. They have sufficiently polarized us that they have made reasonable people like me reach that conclusion. These fear-mongerers, bigots, cowards, sadists cannot be allowed to take the reins of this country. Never.

I have to add to this, for I am seething. My father and his brothers fought the entirety of WWII in the Pacific in the Navy, and my father, who got a Purple Heart at the Battle of Leyte Gulf when a Japanese shell blew him off the tower of his destroyer, shattering both of his heels when he hit the main deck, and his older brother, a decorated aviator, went on to be career Navy officers. My father-in-law was a corpsman serving under Patton from North Africa until the end. I was the last number called in the first Vietnam draft lottery. My poor eyes made me 1-Y when I went through my pre-induction physical in Los Angeles, but if that had not happened, I would have gone to fight. Not because I supported the war—I bitterly opposed it. But because too many other poor kids like me but who were black or brown were being forced to go, and I felt it would have been my duty.

The faux orange gargoyle with the chutzpah to be running for POTUS again? He got out based on fraudulent, forged medical records of another person showing “bone spurs” in his feet. Both he and the doctor who did that for him committed felonies for which they never paid. He utterly disgusts me on every level. He is so far the worst person ever to run for, much less be POTUS that I cannot abide it.

To put him in the same party as Ms. Cheney or Mr. Kinzinger, a party to which I once belonged ages ago, is a gross insult. His comments about Ms. Cheney and General Milley should be considered treasonous, and criminal, and not immune in anyway from prosecution. If he loses this election, I hope charges based on his unprotected speech find their way into his various indictments.

Next week cannot arrive soon enough.

Although I'm no fan of his, let's not forget the gallows set up to hang former Veep Pence. For the mere fact that he stuck to his guns when it came time to sign off on the election process, he has my respect. He put his family and himself on the line when he did this, but he had the cajones to do it. Thank you, Mr. Pence.

An important piece. Donald J Trump is wholly unfit for the office of President of the United States. The only way to ensure that he never gets anywhere near the White House again, is for every American who doesn’t want to be led by this abomination to vote for Kamala Harris.. this is not the time to allow the perfect to be the enemy of the good.

He is getting worse by the day! I've been following Dr. Bandy Lee, Psychiatrist, President of the World Mental Heath Coalition. Dr. Lee has appropriately named this disgusting mental problem as Trump Contagion, very apt! What worries me is that one of his brainwashed followers with Trump Contagion will take his words to heart & try to impress Trump by executing the people he hates.

Yes, please stay safe!

It's that same question I keep asking myself ad nauseum. Whiskey Tango Alpha Foxtrot is it going to take to get rid of this idiot once and for all. It's like he's totally immune from ever facing jail time. And...so many of us keep mentioning that had it been anyone else, they would have been removed from the public eye. Post haste.

Debra Garries's avatar

For the sake of family harmony and the likelihood it wouldn't make a difference anyway, I've been avoiding discussing politics with my Trump supporting family. But this was the last straw. I've asked my mom how she can support this. She's actively campaigning for Trump. I pointed out the party of Reagan is dead if that's what she thinks she's supporting.

This kind of talk is so beyond the words that first come to my mind... horrific, disgusting, repulsive, and a few other choice words not fit to be published here. My only hope is that we will be on a new path forward beginning on Tuesday (despite the inevitable myriad of lawsuits claiming election fraud). I voted today, and was encouraged by the fact that 95% of people in line were visibly (and proudly, I believe) carrying "blue" sample ballots into the polling place with them. The other 5% weren't carrying anything. And although this locale is just a microcosm -- and not in a swing state -- it did offer me a glimmer of hope.

Stay safe, my friend.

Trump and his minions are doing their dammdest to enshittify democracy (Slate article by Dahlia Litwick, a Canadian Lawyer, 10/30/24). The lies are becoming bolder, and we must stand taller and get rid of this sick SOB on 11/5!!!

I sure wish that we could convict him of treason! Sadly, it doesn't look like it applies to anything that he's done (can you believe it?). If we could convict him of treason, then it could be HIM looking down the barrel! IMO, trump is the most treasonous person any of us has experienced in our lifetimes but the way that the treason law is written, he hasn't violated it yet.
