We're all in this together and together we'll prevail...in the thick of it, I fear things are going to be worse with three years ahead of us...but having social media is a great advantage...to witness daily what is happening, to contact our elected officials when we want them to hear our voices, and with people who we can "speak" to like this...Stay safe, it's bitterly cold out...l'm with you...protesting in the night's cold...peaceful protests, and comforted by people like you who are fighting the good fight! Eagle River, Wisconsin - Yes, it is absolutely beautiful in all seasons, especially winter. Glad you got a chance to experience our Northwoods and our incredible National Forests.
Born and raised in Illinois. Many years ago I mentioned to my dad that people seemed to be leaving IL for warmer climates. He said, Let them leave. They will eventually all come back to the Midwest because we have all of the water!
Agree-- The NorthWoods is beautiful in the winter. Glad you got to get away and play. Hope you "went silent" for a few minutes to appreciate the stillness and quietness too. And heard the crunch of snow underfoot as you walked.
Hi Kate, I remember that sound and the stillness after a large snowstorm. My other favorite feeling was just being on horseback, the sound of the horse breathing, the movement, and the smell of the leather from the saddle.
Thank you for reminding me of the total peace you can feel doing simple things. My old home got 18 inches of snow the other day.
I just renewed my Substack for this Adam Kinzinger Substack for the whole year and feel it is money well spent. I’m not expecting perfection and absolute alignment with every view of mine, but I respect this individual (I’m picky) and appreciate the stand he has taken in years past (admirable) and current viewpoints. One of the best newscasts I watched that really touched me were interviews that Chris Hayes, MS NOW, did with local activists and community organizers. "Caring is political right now"

Absolutely! I was in the Wisconsin air guard for 20 years and spent alot of time there. Although.... you know....packers (ok ok im jealous).. but its a beautiful state and great people!
I did not realize you were in the Wisconsin Air Guard. My son-in-law was in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. Thanks for all you have done for we the people and our country ✌🏼💙✊🏼

I’ve had some hard conversations with people that voted for Trump to try to make them more aware and I just say, we’re all in this together and so there are more people going yeah I don’t like that and yeah he’s manipulative so it is good.
