It’ll be rated one of his best and here’s why: he praised everyone who inspired him, helped him, worked with him from his earliest days as a community activist. He told everyone that when they go inside, skip the clips of his speeches “you’ve heard them” but to listen to the stories of the people. He gave a capsule summary of our 250 years, the ups and downs but ultimately we came together. It was such a contrast to what we hear from the current administration.

I have to admit that I don't boycott Amazon, depending on them for purchase of items that I cannot easily obtain from brick and mortar stores due to health concerns. But the Post subscription was cancelled years ago, I think, prior to Bezos' obtaining the paper. I had had it with their BS. Bezos is a snake, no doubt at all, a turncoat, a hypocrite, a cheating husband, etc etc. He will get his.
I fully understand, with my use of Amazon, that I am contributing to his wealth, but I also understand that I am also helping many young people have jobs/employment, with my ordering/shipping of various items. If Amazon tanked, so would their livelihood. I have heard that it is not a very pleasant place to work (no shit), but presumably, pays well with decent benefits. I know that Bezos is an SOB. Don't think he started out that way, but greed and status needs have created that monster. And I am very willing to admit that Amazon deliveries as well as customer service in my area outdo almost all other shippers in timing, communication, and care with products. Fedex, in particular, could learn a few things, as they have greatly deteriorated in service. UPS still does well, and the USPS continues to limp along. So, yes, I am an Amazon customer, not always of course, but I do turn to them, but a Bezos/Post fan? Hell no.

I think thats a huge failing. A political appointee should not be able to fire generals. Am I wrong in thinking that the military should be apolitical, in the same way the courts are supposed to be? (Also not the reality, I know, but at least thats the goal!)
