America under Trump is just a criminal enterprise. We are all fodder for his mob.

It needs to be banned or more. Put an end to the criminals in Washington.

Corruption is now endemic and that sets a terrible example for the rest of us. Dems are on life support and real Republicans gone, only Maga. To recreate trust and a semblance of stability when are we going to start the fiscally responsible, moderate social policies that offer equality and justice by collaborating across the isle? Freedom and Responsibility Party!Led by the likes of Kinzinger, Beshear, Cheney, Klobucher, Pritzer, O’Rourke etc. People of substance and solid values, not grifters and rouges. If not soon it will be too late. Collaborate you all! We will, support you and millions will join 🤺

Thanks for the reminder, John! I'm going to my local one at Univ. California in Irvine. Will be protesting alongside the students.

Lock Jr. up and throw away the key.

But due process first.

Do unto others as you would want done to you.

Sal Teodoro's avatar

How do we stop it when Republicans who don’t give a f**k, control both chambers? AOC has called out insider trading, which this is as well. Both should be banned. MAYDAY, tomorrow, everyone get out there.

Jen's avatar

Most definitely!!! Trump’s Rally at Macomb Community College yesterday was AWESOME! 3500-4000 of us outside protesting!

Inside was barely filled! 😆Employees had to put chairs away and move everyone strategically to make the auditorium look full. We ran into absolutely no conflict with MAGA. We had so many folks in cars rallying alongside us !

FYI:

I may have registered our two dogs for the MAGA event 😆😉

Suzette's avatar

I hope that your dogs enjoyed the rally, lol!

Jen's avatar

I think they decided they didn’t like Voldemort after all

Robot Bender's avatar

Did they 💩 on the floor right in front of Trump?

Joy Is Defiance's avatar

Yay!!Sounds like you had more people at the protest than he did inside at the rally! I think that venue only holds 3000 to 3500. Is that correct?

Theresa McGinness's avatar

Nice job Jennifer! Your efforts are appreciated.

Lourine C's avatar

Jennifer! This is awesome really ... and makes me laugh too, which God knows we all need in this dark hour. Thank you for doing and sharing this!

Mariellen's avatar

He’s still holding rallies? I hadn’t heard about any for a while. Glad your numbers were so high. Thank you!

Charles's avatar

May Day is our next chance to make a mass statement, nationwide. Be there tomorrow if you can. We need to keep pressure on the regime and on the spineless Republican Congress.

Jill B.'s avatar

Where and when will this take place?? I live in St. Louis.

Lourine C's avatar

See this piece from Newsweek which has St Louis's location listed for tomorrow along with cities/town across the nation. Important for as many of us to participate as possible. I think this is the various labor unions first push; they are known for their organizing power for protests in the past.

Agent#99's avatar

True...organized labor made GREAT gains in this country. My father was a Teamster; we FINALLY got to go to doctors when insurance kicked in when I was in my teens. We got better health care THANKS to Teamsters!

Jill B.'s avatar

Thank you for the info, it’s been raining for 3 days here and does every time I join a protest. This time I’ll be prepared. Thanks again.

Lourine C's avatar

Hope the weather turned for you all today Jill!

And Agent#99 ... God bless the unions. I didn't realize that how us not in unions were also affected for good by the organized actions for folks like your Dad. ty for sharing that.

Adam, I can’t believe this wasn’t nipped in bud several years ago when I was sending emails to the FBI, Congress and anyone who would listen. I agree, this has to be banned, it’s illegal, corrupt and puts people directly in harms way. Americans are now only a number, so a few greedy people can profit. This is straight up SICK!

Richard Breining's avatar

Personally, I believe that there is too much gambling going on in this country anyway (lotteries, sports bets, etc.). I don't participate in any of that. Just my opinion, but those placing bets on those things are free to do so, BUT NOT ON POLITICAL OUTCOMES -EVER!

Professor Mac's avatar

The corruption just grows and grows. Trump does not care about the damage which he does. I think that he even gets excited by the number of people that he causes to suffer. Like an addiction to that feeling of power over others.

Trump is a manipulator, who has monetized the "game" so that he cannot lose and always gets his dose of power.

Adam is right, that we have to end the games completely in order to stop this thing. Otherwise, it is an addiction that will spread and destroy everything good.

It's Come To This's avatar

You can bet he does. He loves every minute of it. Cruelty for the sake of cruelty, chaos and grief for the sheer fun of it.

Last night, his wormtongues burst into applause and started cheering "USA! USA!" at the video his campaign showed of hundreds of prisoners at CECOT being herded into small cells like lab animals. The bloodlust, the drooling joy at watching others bring made to suffer wretchedness and abasement speaks volumes about his base. That's who he's president for, those are the people he's told to fly their ugliest freak flags as high as they can.

It CAN happen here. It's already happening here. It's happening right now. No need to seek lessons from 1930s Germany to ask is it really happening.

Charles's avatar

I think Trump takes pleasure in the chaos and damage he creates. He appears to have all the self control of a five year old.

Agent#99's avatar

Well, I say 2 year old, lol. You give him more credit. :)

May a place the adjective "fragile" in front of it?

Agent#99's avatar

It's like 47 created a political version of The Hunger Games. Where is Katniss Evergreen when you need her?

Lynette Crain's avatar

Who is empowered to stop it? Thank you, Thomas, Alito, and Roberts for turning this good and honorable country into a big, beautiful cesspool.

Richard Breining's avatar

Absolutely! trump always claimed that he would "drain the swamp". Instead he has turned Washington into a CESSPOOL!

Agent#99's avatar

Reminds me of a very full, stomach-churning port-a-potty I went into recently. Even the thought of entering it and stench made me sick!

Agent#99's avatar

They truly need to step up NOW! They helped create this monster! I have no hope for Thomas (he got away with Anita Hill allegations), but maybe quite possibly the other 2? But I'm not an optimist, so who knows?

Debra Sprague's avatar

FOR REAL???? We now have added betting on the dumpster fire to the other horrible financial ways he can stiff America while lining his own pockets??? Wall Street and Crypto not enough??????

Agent#99's avatar

Is anyone out there knowledgeable enough to tank these legally? We have got to find a way to beat them at their own game. Shame, apparently, does not work.

Jean Haynes's avatar

I wonder if Junior would mind if I wager on when and how daddy will kick the bucket? Is that an option? I never bet, but I would like a piece of that action.

Jill B.'s avatar

Or when the Mango Mussolini goes to prison for the rest of his life.

I’m actually surprised that Melania hasn’t held a pillow over his head while he’s sleeping, but honestly, I don’t think he sleeps much. He’s obsessed with always focusing on himself and conjuring up ways to fuck up this country with every stroke of his Sharpie!

ClaireG's avatar

What is next. Seriously. I am not sure how much more this country can take. I am in tears. So much evil corruption. Why isn’t anyone doing anything—why didn’t someone take this seriously when that vile creature announced his intentions. I do not even have the wherewithal to be angry any longer. Adam, I know you are just keeping us informed, and I thank you. My heart and my mind are just overloaded.

Theresa McGinness's avatar

I hear you Claire. Be good to yourself and take a little news break. Take a walk outside in nature if you are able. Sounds too simple I know but it is keeping this old lady sane, for now.

ClaireG's avatar

Not too simple—-bang on right! Movement is half the battle! Thank you for your kind words. 💖

Agent#99's avatar

ClaireG, I feel the same. When you are too frazzled and feel like you are losing your mind, do whatever is comforting for you: prayer, reading, exercising, nature-bathing, taking pics on your phone of things you love and review them later, write in a journal or write poetry, and turn off the noise! For those angry times that can become productive, write your Congress rep and 2 Senators emails and express your thoughts. I write dozens a week and select from whatever category makes me mad that day. As a retired teacher, I take up causes like Special Ed, Head Start, etc. and complete the Take Action responses! I go on live videos on Substack and type my thoughts out with fast and furious fingers! Lastly, take it one day at a time and keep the faith!

Jen's avatar

We appreciate you Adam! Thank you for your updates.

Oh good, just what we needed — Wall Street meets Banana Republic, with Trump Jr. handing out the chips at the craps table of democracy. The Trump Crime Family has another winner (loser).

Let’s not mince words: this isn’t a political betting platform. This is a financial assassination squad for public trust.

They’re not just betting on tariffs or legislation. They’re betting on the soul of a dying republic — and the house always wins. Kalshi has taken every warning we’ve ever heard about insider corruption and turned it into a business model. It’s not even subtle. It’s brazen, because they know we’re too numb, too tired, too distracted to riot.

And now Trump Jr. — the heir to the con, the princeling of moral vacancy — is perched like a buzzard over this operation, ready to monetize not just chaos, but the precise machinery of collapse. A man who couldn’t find ethics with a map and a flashlight is now advising a platform where lawmakers can literally profit from the disasters they create. And we’re supposed to call this “market innovation”?

No. This is not a market. This is a murder scene with a Nasdaq ticker.

The stakes aren’t imaginary. This is a future where senators can short their own legislation, where aides leak policy for side bets, where the American experiment is auctioned off in increments of insider information. It’s not corruption on the fringe — it’s corruption as currency.

And here’s the punchline no one asked for: they think this is clever. They think this is the next frontier of “engagement.” Because nothing says civic virtue like wagering on whether your kid’s school lunch program survives the fiscal quarter.

Ban it. Not tomorrow. Now.

No oversight. No “pilot programs.” No white papers. Burn it down and salt the earth.

If we let this stand — if we allow democracy to be pawned off for betting odds — then we deserve the hollow, cynical husk of a government we’ll be left with. And believe me, someone’s already placing odds on when the last ounce of public trust bleeds out.

A republic is not a game. But these ghouls? They’re not here to play fair. They’re here to win. And the only way to stop them is to flip the goddamn table.

Lucille Sanchez-corea's avatar

This is very well expressed; comprehensive and rational.

Jay Jay Eh's avatar

You hit that one out of the park, Dino!

‘flip the damn table!’ — Yes, that reminds me of Jesus, outside the holy temple.

Agent#99's avatar

They are the bragging bullies out in the schoolyard. Yup, turn the tables on them.

Hi Adam, thank you for always keeping us up on the latest and not so greatest 🤪.

I have met you and respect you so much. If I could give you one piece of advice, (I know it is hard), but don't stoop to trumps level with the name calling and inappropriate X posts. It is hard to defend you when haters want to forward comments you make there. Ie: RFK etc. Again, I completely understand your frustration. I have lost sleep over this man since I watched your heroic stance on Jan 6 from the beginning ❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️

Jill B.'s avatar

Name calling and inappropriate comments is EXACTLY APPROPRIATE, in this instance.

Kimberlie Hammerschmidt's avatar

Do you know what I am referencing to? I understand how hard it is to take the high road. I have been defending Adam for the past four years and know the scum of corruption by Trump his whole life. He is from my neck of the woods and has skated and deflected his whole life. I just don't want Adam to give them more to attack back on. Adam is a class act

I have zero doubt that Congress will do nothing about this.
