You rock, Adam. Thank you for standing up for truth! My husband is a forever Republican, but after January 6, he followed Nancy Reagan's advice and JUST SAID NO to Drumpf! It was difficult for him, but he recognizes that this is NOT the Party he belonged to. Joe Walsh says that we need a big tent, and I am inclined to agree. I am an Independent who so far has not been won over by the Dems, but I sure stand with them against f@scism and will vote blue on November 4. My ancestors, who fought in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, and my father, who fought in WW II, cannot have fought for nothing! I will fight for democracy until my dying breath- not on my watch!

Also, Former Rep Kinzinger, I want you to know that in my opinion the gravest failure of Former President Biden's tenure as POTUS is the fact that he did not have Trump arrested on 20 Jan 2021, arraigned, incarcerated somewhere in the DC area, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
When Nixon was not prosecuted and convicted and severely punished for his crimes, the inevitability of a Trump was assured. It was just a matter of time.
The most fundamental reform, if America is ever to be a rule of law democracy, is that irrespective of position or wealth, you do the crime, you serve the time.
ZERO doubt exists that Trump orchestrated, incited and watched an attempted coup.
The Jan6 insurrectionists achieved an objective the Confederate Army couldn't!
Trump waited as long as he did because he needed a dead VP or Congressperson in order to complete his plan of launching martial law and then NEVER leaving the White House.
Trump has been a 'crime scene' his entire adult life. Period. Full stop.

What I witnessed in the autobiography of the 'first half of your life' is someone courageous, and aware that the person you want to be in the 'next phase of your life' is a founder of a more just, rigorous, and caring political endeavor.
You likely know Prof Corey Brettschneider, Prof Timothy Snyder & Prof Lawrence Tribe, but if you don't I'd recommend you pursue knowing them and request they mentor you during your 'next phase.'
You may flinch or recoil from the one other recommendation that follows, but know that it's informed by more than 7 decades of multi-dimensional experiences.
To wit, a 21st Century American "democratic constitutional constituency (dcc)' COALITION that includes you, Former Rep Cheney, Former Lt Gov Geoff Duncan, Governor Candidates Abigail Spanberger & Mikie Sherrill, NY Mayor Candidate Zoran Mamdani, current Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez & Jasmine Crockett, Ben & his brothers, Jim Acosta, Stephen Colbert and Katie Couric is the type of gutsy, open minded, open hearted, unprecedented collaboration required if that "dcc" had any chance of becoming a reality that a representative and enthusiastic majority of Americans would support.
In any case, my wish for you and your family is that you thrive and have fun as you shape the future of a more inclusive, thoughtful, resilient, accountable, and empathetic America.
