Personally, I think it will rip itself apart once Trump is gone. MAGA is extremely divisive, and it is filled with those corrupted by power. Even if Trump named a successor, it will still tear itself apart as they vie for power and position. It is inherently unstable, which also means it is inherently dangerous to the nation and the world.

When the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel is made at the end of our service, I always link it to the Orange Felon and his minions--they are doing the devil's work.
For quite a few years I went to a retreat in Hawaii every spring with a spiritual adviser and it was interesting to hear her take on why things are the way they are. Some made sense to me, other things were harder to digest. I liked her because she would always say "take what you are comfortable with, take what you believe and then leave the rest.
She had studied in India for a number of years and did believe in reincarnation. So, her explanation would be Donald Trump is a very young soul as are the people around him and really all of MAGA. We are put here to learn, to learn about everything, our spirituality, God, our earth and how it works and supports us, how to love our fellow man, how to love and respect every living thing.
It has nothing to do with how many birthdays you have experienced but what you have learned. I have met very young people who seem to have such wisdom and understanding about things (many of you may also have met kids like that) and we say, that is an old soul. Yes they are, and they may be here for the last time. They have learned.
Donald and his ilk have many experiences to live through and I hope the world can survive those souls. It's a tough fight. They have hitched a ride on a very dark train. The Devil's work, indeed.

I come from a military family, and I was taught early that we do not choose our enemy, our enemy chooses us. That we all start off equal. That a stranger was just a friend we haven't met yet. From that I have always treated others as just that, friends not yet met.
But many/most of Trump's followers (MAGA) operate much differently. They blindly select others as an enemy based only upon what Trump and MAGA influencers label others that they do not even know.
How do we change this? How do we get them to see and think rationally so that we can all work together for the benefit of all?

Most of the military is apolitical, but those who are MAGA stand out because of it. My grandson is currently serving in the Navy, as well as a number of those that I trained before I retired. With a significant part of the officer corpse having been pushed to follow Trump's political agenda, those who are not MAGA have learned to keep their heads down, nod when expected, and avoid speaking up around those who are MAGA.
Mind you, most of my information is Navy and Marine scuttlebut, but that is because those are the branches that my family is serving in. Not many left in the Army, and none that I know of in the Air Force.
