Well, while normally trump is hogging the camera, here he is turning toward Xi shaking his hand and trying to get his attention. While Xi just faced the camera with a smug grin on his face. When I saw that, I hadn't heard the results of their meeting but it made me fearful!

Republicans have always been the party of viciousness, and Democrats have been the party of “Oh that seems a little much.” Even going back to Reconstruction when the labels were flipped, the same kind of person in the Dems now was a Republican then and they just gave up on holding the Confederates accountable - leading to a lot of what we see today.
It's going to be very difficult to get the Dems to wake up and realize: These monsters need consequences. Just look at what a joke Merrick Garland was prosecuting Trump and the Insurrection. He dragged it out indefinitely and here we are. Dems will do it again unless there's clear relentless communication that we need to straighten that spine and crack down.
BUT. . . The Dems may be justified in holding hearings on DJT admin corruption and unconstitutional behavior, BUT . .. . they also need to codify voting rights, women's rights, civil rights, ban gerrymandering, undo Citizens United, etc . . . . . OK, tax the rich!

How about some Dem candidate for President puts you on their campaign team! So your suggestions about "what Dems ought to do" gets funneled to the right place when decisions are being made. Or you could run for President.
Stop criticizing the Dems. We need that party to grow wider and stronger to beat the Fascist Republicans. Right now, there is no other party big enough or strong enough to do it. Constructive criticism is fine but let's not best down the Democratic party.

I’ve always considered myself very liberal and a fiscal conservative which would put me at 100% odds against Ronald Reagan. His first term I didn’t think too much of it was only like the second time I could vote, his next term I told friends he’s the last human we would want in charge of this country and deal dealing with AIDS. He was one of the first in my life that played evangelical Christians for votes and they considered AIDS as God’s solution to homosexuals. I lost two brothers to that nightmare one early, one later, if there would’ve been a president for everybody we might’ve gotten things done faster, maybe I’d still have that brother. Of course she raised taxes on the middle class and explode the deficit in fact he kind of started the habit of Republicans exploding deficits every time they come to power. 😉 he was an actor and he acted like somebody people like.
Anyway I hope you keep evolving, and thank you for your work on the committee.

Adam, Thanks for the honesty about the state of the military. This is scary when there are so many maga in the military. Democrats should be lesioning with the military leaders that have left.
Nonviolent resistance doesn't have to be dumbly unprepared. How will we communicate? How will we protect leaders and spokespeople for the resistance? They have access to control of the internet. They have propagandized all departments of the government. We have a lot to overcome. I continue to hope for a nonviolent political solution. However, the administration [not just trump] is barreling toward suspending elections.
