The sentiment about your faith being tested as you watched those around you who professed your same beliefs not acting in accordance with them hit deeply.
This was beautiful Sofia. Nice to meet Adam’s significant other. I grew up in a Democratic household and became a Union electrician. I went to catholic school and am a Christian. I didn’t always vote for Democrats. I voted for who I thought would do right by Americans as a whole. But that all changed actually because of Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump put the nail in the coffin. We’re all in this together and we’ll make it through this together. You have an amazing husband and an adorable young man.

Sofia, it must have been a struggle for you to actually witness from the inside what some of us in everyday life on the outside were beginning to suspect about the orange man-baby’s first administration. The seemingly revolving door of staff members was telling, that something wasn’t quite right behind the scenes. It must have been disappointing to know colleagues who professed following Christianity, show by their actions just how feckless they could be. But what is impressive is that you have the integrity and character to not fall in step with said imposters and were able discern the truth and stay authentic. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and keep speaking truth.

Thank you for this piece. For a true believer, how difficult it must have been for you to come in contact with so many wolves in sheep clothing. Welcome to what I call the Credit Card Christians. They are morally bankrupt and use the bible and religion to manipulate and gain power. They have no love of God or country. They manipulate the Christian population to gain power. I wish they were a joke, but they are the only ones laughing. And Trump is the G.O.A.T. of Credit Card Christians.

I would say to you that I tutor ESL as a volunteer because I occasionally see "opportunity gaps" for those for whom English is not their native tongue.
